The opportunity
As organizations accelerate their digital transformation journeys, GIS, BIM, and digital asset management are becoming increasingly important for enabling data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
We are seeking an Assistant Manager – GIS / BIM Specialist to join our Supply Chain & Operations - Business Consulting team. In this role, you will support clients in developing GIS asset data, validating BIM models, integrating asset information with EAMS platforms, and establishing the foundations for digital twin capabilities.
Your key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GIS asset layers and spatial data repositories.
- Validate BIM models and asset information against project and business requirements.
- Perform spatial data quality assurance and data validation activities.
- Support integration between GIS platforms and Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS).
- Contribute to the development of digital twin data foundations and asset information frameworks.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with client and project teams to support GIS, BIM, and digital asset management initiatives.
- Support the development of data governance, standards, and best practices.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- 7+ years of experience in GIS, BIM, geospatial data management, or related digital asset management disciplines.
- Experience developing GIS asset layers and managing spatial datasets.
- Strong understanding of BIM model validation and asset information management.
- Experience integrating GIS with EAMS, CMMS, or similar asset management platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Consulting experience is preferred.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage but not essential.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to digital twin programs and smart asset management initiatives.
- Knowledge of IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, Infor EAM, or similar systems.
- Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Willingness to travel across the region.
