Senior Application Management Engineer

 

As a Senior Application Management Engineer at EY, you will have the opportunity to improve and adapt a service to fit a specific customer, market, or need. 

You will adapt and integrate existing software and troubleshooting issues to create user-friendly tools.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding complex services and infrastructure mapping allowing better issue identification and resolution. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Coordinate and handle deployments in all environments.
  • Manage cross-organizational escalations, alerts, incident reporting, and service improvement strategies
  • Assist applying patches and fixing vulnerability issues found on applications
  • Participate in performance improvements efforts
  • Creation of monitoring and preemptive alerting for all critical parts of an application
  • Creation of real-time and recurring analytics reports and dashboards related to application metrics, like health, usage, and trending
  • Support technical incident reviews and problem analysis for all service disruptions
  • Application and system logs analysis facilitating the identification of underlying causes of service disruptions and preparing root cause analysis
  • Coordination with vendors regarding deployments, problems, fixes, and required enhancements of production components
  • Oversee software from evaluation and deployment to ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and retirement.
  • Serve as an escalation point (L3) to troubleshoot software errors, perform root-cause analysis, and deploy patches.
  • Manage deployment pipelines, automate release processes, and maintain virtualization/cloud infrastructure.

 

 

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge with Cloud Platforms (Azure) and Operative Systems.
  • Knowledge of Containerization & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
  • Experience with Scripting Languages (Python, or PowerShell).
  • Understanding of Database Management (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Basic knowledge in programming languages relevant to the specific industry (e.g., Python, Java, C++, .NET, JavaScript).
  • Knowledge of software systems, development lifecycles, hardware components, networks, and integration techniques.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Familiarity with database management and data-driven applications.
