The opportunity
Leading a highly effective, mature Global Information Security Program requires a constant focus on continuous improvement. Information Security is a cornerstone of any modern business, and a dedicated Program Improvement team is essential for driving ongoing success.
The Global Lead for Information Security Program Improvement is responsible for leading a team of professionals focused on enhancing the Information Security Program through service management maturity assessments, process improvement analysis, customer experience measurements, and the planning of strategic initiatives to promote continuous improvement in the Program.
As the Program Improvement Leader, you will oversee a team of IT Service Management (ITSM) professionals responsible for managing the framework for service management related to EY's security services. This role demands a deep understanding of ITSM best practices, process re-engineering, and effective team leadership.
Key Experiences and Skills:

Strategic Leadership: Set the strategic direction for the Program Improvement team, leveraging your knowledge of information security (IS) to determine the priorities that most benefit IS in terms of needed improvements, how to approach and influence change, and creating recommendations, roadmaps, and strategic plans.

Process Optimization: Guide your team in analyzing and optimizing existing security processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement new security processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with business and security objectives. Influencing stakeholders is an instrumental part of this role. While operational teams mainly implement and follow processes, reviewing the processes, recommending improvements, and collaborating with change is essential to the success of this role.

Team Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the Program Improvement team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Customer Centricity: Prioritize customer needs and ensure that security processes are user-friendly, efficient, measured, and aligned with the firm's business strategy.
By effectively leading the Program Improvement team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the ongoing success and security of the firm's operations.
Essential Functions of the Job:

Defining and supporting the development of long-term Program Improvement strategy for the Information Security function focusing on service management and process improvement

Conducting research and analyses of operational effectiveness, processes, stakeholders to continuously develop improvement plans

Conducting research and analyses on emerging approaches to customer satisfaction which will evolve the Information Security Program

Work with service owners in Information Security, Enterprise Technology, and Client Technology to understand new directions and technology adoption; work with stakeholders to integrate customer experience goals and process efficiencies

Consult with functional technology and business leadership in the analysis of short and long-range business requirements and recommend security strategies, solutions and approaches that anticipate the future impact of evolving business services, technologies, and client security requirements

Aligning Information Security goals, processes and resources with the overall strategy of the firm

Assessing market trends in security and customer experience

Presenting research findings, projections and recommendations for the adoption of new methods of working for Information Security services

Planning, implementing and managing proposed recommendations and research projects

Monitoring and reporting on projects and their effectiveness to the improvement of the Information Security Program

Supporting and guiding senior executive decision-making processes, presenting strategic plans and initiative to senior executive of Information Security

Utilize strategic skills to assist with the development of a long-term vision for Information Security’s direction inclusive of its program improvement, service improvement, process improvement, and integration of security solutions into business objectives

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
The knowledge or skills needed to perform this job are:

Excellent management and leadership skills working with highly skilled and motivated senior strategy and research team

Stakeholder and relationship management within Information Security and across EY Technology

An overall understanding of the business objectives of Business Service Lines and Business Enablement functions (core business services) with an ability to build relationships across EY
-
Managing and facilitating multiple team inputs arriving at the appropriate decision to recommend future state security solutions
-
Leads the development, implementation and maintenance of the global strategy for Information Security program improvement initiatives
-
Maintain, update and continuously evolve the IS service management framework and process improvement framework
-
Builds and maintains appropriate relationships with internal and external parties to ensure awareness and understanding of potential strategic directions that will impact architecture, engineering and operations across EYT

A high proficiency in technical and general writing skills in English is required
Supervision Responsibilities:
The Global Lead for Information Security Program Improvement will lead a team of security specialists assessing and designing improvement plans for the EY Information Security Program. These responsibilities include:

Manage the day-to-day performance and delivery of the team work products and outcomes

Oversee the daily progress of project work assigned to staff members, report status to management, and manage staff performance

Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others
-
Plan the training and development of staff to develop their skills and maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in information security specializing in the areas of service and process improvement

Job Requirements:
Education:
University level Bachelor’s or Masters is required
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years working in a professional IT-related setting is required
10 years minimum working as a subject matter expert in ITIL, Six Sigma, or other process improvement field
Certification Requirements:
ITIL or Six Sigma certification is preferred but not required
CISSP or CISA certification is preferred but not required
