Each client is referred to as an engagement and the GCR is responsible for implementing the integrated service delivery model and subsequent delivery of services as per the service level agreements. Globally, tax and accounts preparation activities are conducted mostly in the local countries and hence requires a wide network of EY professionals to work together to deliver to the client expectations. The GCR professional will be with the EY global network to ensure client’s compliance and reporting obligations across the globe are met on time.

 

Job purpose:

Engagement Management aspects:

  • Handle a portfolio of GCR clients and a team of staff and advanced analysts
  • Partner with Global Engagement leadership to provide central management for medium to large engagements
  • Point of contact for service delivery and issue resolution for work delivered from global talent hub
  • Highlight issues & risks to global engagement leader and participate in the mitigation plans
  • Work with multiple teams across the GCR network to ensure smooth delivery of GCR engagements
  • Participate in client calls to provide status update of the engagement
  • Understand client requirements and ensure engagement processes meet requirements
  • Design and develop new processes that can increase the scope of GCR GCS
  • Participate in business development activities, network with GCR country teams and promote usage of global delivery services
  • Apply project management concepts to engagements in the portfolio are delivered well
  • Monitor and control engagement and people issues in a mature manner
  • Identify service delivery and process gaps which can be fixed to improve service delivery
  • Consult with offshore teams on best practices for engagement set up and management
  • Accountable for the customer satisfaction scores of the portfolio

 

People aspects: 

  • Manage performance by sharing knowledge , conducting training & assisting with problem solving
  • Provide staff and advanced analysts with feedback; complete periodic performance reviews and appraisals
  • Responsible for career development, mentoring, retention and knowledge gaps for team.
  • Providing guidance to Counselees in developing career performance goals and monitoring those goals throughout the performance year
  • Leading in designing, developing and implementing operational excellence projects
  • Ensuring a positive work environment for the team

 

Technical skills requirements:

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • 6+ years of total work experience with at least 2 years of team leading experience
  • Understanding of backend financial processes and project management
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree
  • Experience in working in a multi-cultural and team environment 

 

You will need to:

  • Have excellent interpersonal, influencing and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated team and performance management; exposure to direct interaction with clients.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and structured thinking abilities
  • Experience in client management, exposure to working in a changing and ambiguous environment
  • Be proficient in Word/PowerPoint/Excel - working knowledge of MS office
