The opportunity
Microsoft is one of EY’s most strategic alliance relationships, helping clients accelerate transformation through cloud, data, AI, automation and emerging technologies. Within this context, the Co-Investment team plays an important role in bringing structure, governance and execution discipline to investments that support joint growth priorities with Microsoft.
The GDS Microsoft Co-Investments Lead Analyst will support the Microsoft Co-Investments team by coordinating investment governance, funding administration, portfolio visibility, reporting, stakeholder follow-through and outcome tracking across global and regional initiatives.
This role is suited to a structured, commercially aware professional who can translate investment priorities into practical execution support. The incumbent will work with Microsoft Alliance leadership, Microsoft stakeholders, regional alliance teams, solution area leads, finance, commercial, sales, marketing and GDS teams to help ensure co-investment activities are planned, governed, tracked and activated with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
The role will also contribute to AI-led investment priorities across Copilot, Azure AI, Data & AI, automation and emerging Microsoft solution areas by supporting structured assessment, tracking and reporting of business value, responsible AI considerations and commercialization readiness.
Your key responsibilities
- Coordinate the co-investment governance model, operating rhythm and business review cadence for Microsoft-aligned investment initiatives.
- Support planning, prioritization and tracking of investment requests, funding decisions, approvals, utilization, risks, dependencies and outcomes.
- Support programs and initiatives aligned to the Co-Investments stakeholder agenda and Microsoft Alliance priorities, with guidance from senior team members and stakeholders.
- Work with alliance leadership, finance, commercial, solution area and regional teams to maintain visibility of investment progress, evidence requirements, approval status and key decision points.
- Prepare clear analysis, concise updates and leadership-ready summaries to support investment prioritization, governance discussions and timely follow-through.
- Develop and maintain investment trackers, dashboards, status reports, business review materials, action logs and governance documentation

- Support business case development for co-investment opportunities, including strategic rationale, expected outcomes, activation approach, evidence requirements and performance measures.
- Track portfolio performance across investment themes, solution areas, regions, activation milestones, utilization, pipeline influence and commercialization outcomes. - Coordinate with sales, marketing and solution teams to support go-to-market activation, enablement, awareness and adoption of investment-backed initiatives.
- Support AI-focused investment initiatives by helping assess value potential, scalability, adoption readiness, data and privacy considerations, and responsible AI alignment in a practical and consistent manner.
- Contribute to efficiencies, automation and standardization across co-investment workflows, reporting processes, document management and day-to-day operations.
- Maintain collaboration tools, SharePoint repositories and working materials to enable stakeholder coordination and audit-ready documentation.
- Partner with onshore Co-Investment and Alliance Operations contacts, Microsoft stakeholders and alliance leadership on strategic projects, special initiatives, process improvements and leadership requests.
- Identify risks, process gaps and operational issues that may affect investment delivery, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support timely resolution.
- Coordinate with Brand, Marketing and Communications teams where investment-backed campaigns, client-facing narratives, marketplace assets or enablement content are required to drive adoption, utilization and value realization of approved investments.
Skills and attributes for success
- Good understanding of alliance operations, investment governance, funding coordination, portfolio tracking and executive reporting.
- Commercial awareness, including understanding of sales cycles, pipeline reporting, business case inputs, utilization tracking and outcome measurement.
- Technology aptitude and comfort working at a business level across Microsoft solution areas such as Copilot, Azure AI, Data & AI, Cloud, Security, Business Applications and automation.
- Practical understanding of AI-enabled transformation, with the ability to support assessment of AI investment opportunities based on business value, adoption readiness, scalability and responsible AI considerations.
- Exposure to continuous process improvement, workflow standardization, automation, process documentation, internal controls and audit readiness.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; Power BI, dashboarding, workflow tools and AI-enabled productivity tools would be an added advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with onshore stakeholders and operate effectively in a matrixed global environment.
- Strong problem-solving capability, analytical thinking, root-cause evaluation and mitigation planning, with the ability to work across multiple teams toward practical resolution.
- Good project management skills, including prioritization, tracking, governance, execution discipline, status reporting and management of multiple workstreams with competing timelines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to create concise leadership updates, business narratives and decision-oriented materials.
- Experience working with alliance or partner programs in a professional services, consulting or technology-led organization; knowledge of EY and GDS operating models will be an advantage.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- University degree required; technology, business, finance or marketing background preferred.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification would be an added advantage.
- Five or more years of relevant experience in alliance operations, co-investments, Microsoft funding programs, strategic operations, portfolio management, consulting or commercial operations.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders, global cross-functional teams across alliance, sales, marketing, finance and technology functions. iFlexibility to support assignments and priorities based on evolving business requirements, strategic initiatives and leadership priorities
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while managing multiple workstreams, competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Multi-domain exposure across alliances, finance, sales, marketing, operations, technology or transformation.
- Exposure to Microsoft ecosystem programs, co-investment funding, go-to-market initiatives, marketplace activation, Copilot, Azure AI or related Microsoft solution areas.
- Experience supporting strategic initiatives, leadership requests, governance improvements, process standardization and reporting automation.
Technologies and Tools
- Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, dashboards, workflow tools and AI-enabled productivity solutions.
