Lead Information Security Business Analyst

The opportunity
The key to this effort is the creation of a Business Analysis Service Lead role to champion the assessment, identification of opportunities, planning for improvements, as well as implementation of changes. The Business Analysis Lead is responsible and accountable for:
- Establishment of a consistent methodology, building an accepted consensus, promulgation, and implementation of an optimized Business Analysis practice.
- Leading a review and subsequent optimization for each activity/deliverable
- Perform an assessment of each person on the Business Analysis team, set clear, objective, and appropriate expectations for each team member.
- Provide a clear development plan to provide a clear path for each team member and serve as a mentor to guide their growth.
- Serve as a common point of review for project work assigned, give feedback as to assumptions, and aid in assuring the proper questions are asked to garner improved outcomes.
- Guide assignments and cross training to empower the team to have primary and secondary areas of focus to allow the team to focus their knowledge while maintaining flexibility to meet the scheduled demands as they come.
- Define and maintain the vision and strategic direction for business analysis services.
- Design and implement business analysis processes and methodologies that align with organizational goals.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations from the business analysis service.
- Oversee the project allocation and management of business analysis staff.
- Ensure that the business analysis team has the necessary skills, tools, and competencies to perform effectively.:
- Establish and maintain quality standards for business analysis deliverables.
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that business analysis work meets organizational standards and stakeholder requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of business analysis services.

- Act as a bridge between the information security team and business units, fostering clear communication and collaboration.
- Strong ability to communicate fluently in English and adapt communications to various audiences, including Executives, Sponsors, Management, overall organization and project teams – includes verbal, written and presentation skills
- Breakdown barriers of delivery with well thought out challenges and escalations, if necessary
- Personal accountability to adhere and comply of all required business analyst deliverables and requirements
- Ability to collaborate across functional teams, cultures and geographies and to build trust virtually
- Extensive experience writing and reviewing business, user, and non-functional/system level requirements
- Extensive experience in selecting and executing elicitation techniques such as Interviews, Exploratory Prototypes, Facilitated Workshops, Focus Groups, Observation, User Task Analysis, Documentation Study and Surveys and overall Process Re-engineering
- Solid understanding of the following requirements models: Stakeholder Categories, Actor Tables, Glossary, Context Diagram, Data Model, Class Model, Data Dictionary, Event Response Tables, State Diagrams, Business Rules, Decision Tables, Process Maps, Use Cases, and Activity Diagrams
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- 7 years in a large corporate IT environment
- 5+ years as a business analyst across various IT disciplines; InfoSec a plus, but also, infrastructure deployment, application development, large RFP’s, proofs of concept, etc. 10 to 15 years in a corporate IT environment
- Other relevant experience in a related technical field (application development, deployment/implementation and infrastructure)
- Significant work experience IT infrastructure and security projects
- Flexibility to work outside typical hours, as required of a globally dispersed team
Ideally, you’ll also have
- CBAP certification
- Familiarity with the IIBA (BABOK) Practice Standards
- Familiarity with latest ITIL version
- Experience in supporting a professional services and/or global IT organization
- An understanding of Information Security tenets and priorities
- Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred
