Junior Reporting Analyst - EY Global Delivery Service
Job description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Analyst to provide support for various applications, including WEBI, Power BI, SSAS Cubes, SAS BRM, and other reporting applications. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage user access and resolve issues reported by users, with 95% of support requests received through ServiceNow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide user access management and resolve user-reported issues across multiple applications (WEBI, Power BI, SSAS Cubes, SAS BRM, etc.).
- Handle support requests primarily through ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with users to understand and troubleshoot issues, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
- Utilize basic accounting knowledge to understand commonly used fields in financial information (Business Units, Accounts, Departments, etc.) and their structure (tree and node concepts).
- Apply logical reasoning and basic SQL knowledge to understand report structures and data filtering.
- Leverage Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables), Power Query, and Power BI, to connect data sources and create reports.
- Demonstrate curiosity, creativity, and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues without established step-by-step procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients to interpret and address their concerns, even when they are unclear or not well-disposed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Understanding of accounting principles and commonly used financial fields.
- Logical reasoning skills and basic knowledge of SQL.
- Desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Pivot Tables), Power Query, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients to understand and resolve their issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage uncertainty through trial and error.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and providing support for reporting applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good English written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the Energy & Utilities sector is a plus.
