Job brief
We are looking for a Free Trade Agreement Analyst to join our team and help manage our client’s needs regarding claiming different preferential duty treatments that might apply for their international operations.
Free Trade Agreement Analyst responsibilities might include analyzing the applicability of agreements based on our client portfolio; contacting our client’s suppliers to obtain certificates of origin (COO); ensure compliance on Rules of Origin etc.
Ultimately, you will be working in an International team that allow us to provide a 24/7 service to our client.
Responsibilities
- Solicitations:
- Requests supplier’s certificates of origin in accordance with the FTA needed.
- Understand the mandatory fields for each agreement and what is accepted or not, to review and audit supplier’s document
- Follow up, by call or email, suppliers.
- Upload and update the information on the system.
- Qualifications:
- Determine if client’s good are or not originating for applying to specific FTAs based on the rules of origin (ROO)
- Understand the FTA and it’s rules.
- Analyze the information received from our clients and suppliers, in order to validate if a good qualifies or not.
- Issue the certificate of origin related to the FTA from the request.
- Communicate the client and/or requestors about needs and results of analyses.
- Monitor KPIs related to client’s need to check on progress and resolve issues and/ or concerns.
- Monitor internal KPIs
- Keep process instructions and manuals updated.
- Look for process improvements
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
Requirements and skills
- Proven Intermediate/ Advance English level (written and spoken)
- Good/ Strong communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) and other business application software (PBI; Alteryx; etc) – Preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Relations, or a similar field preferred
