Job description
The Global Rates Team, a sub-function of FP&A, calculates and manages the Cost Rates, NSR Rates, and Cost-Plus Rates for the Global Firm. The team supports and provides valuable insights to our stakeholders (Region/Country Rates Leads, members of the Finance organization, and Mercury Support Team).
The opportunity

As a Supervising Associate within the Global Rates Team (a specialized global process/function within FP&A), you will play a key role in rates configuration and upload to Mercury, supporting the delivery of analysis, reporting, and insights to stakeholders. You will be encouraged to develop analytical capabilities, embrace technology and automation, and grow as a trusted business advisor within the Finance organization.

Your key responsibilities
- Global Process Management and Stakeholder Support:
- Manage the rates configuration process, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all regions and competencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with global standards and practices.
- Proactively manage expectations and deadlines, ensuring clear communication and timely service delivery.
- Deliver exceptional client service by understanding stakeholders’ needs and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Foster strong relationships within the finance organization to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Analysis and Insights:
- Support financial modeling and ad hoc analysis using various data sources and analytical approaches, summarizing observations and insights.
- Analyze rate trends and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
- Prepare reports and documentation as needed.
- Build analytical and reporting views in Excel and Power BI.
- Mercury Delivery Management:
- Oversee delivery to Mercury, managing rate mapping, handling exceptions, and generating rates for upload.
- Ensure all uploads to Mercury are controlled and checked for accuracy.
- Ad Hoc Requests and Inquiries:
- Address ad hoc requests and inquiries efficiently, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues and provide solutions.
- Process Improvements:
- Incorporate automation, AI, and advanced analytics to drive innovation; identify automation opportunities and pilot improvements.
- Proactively seek opportunities to learn, contribute to team initiatives, and enhance the Finance team's profile within the business.
Skills and attributes for success
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and data visualization tools like Power BI; familiarity with automation tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and technical skills in Excel-based reporting, modeling analytics, and large data management.
- Excellent analytical skills with a track record of developing effective solutions independently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, as the role's responsibilities directly impact EY's business.

- Strong operational understanding of the Global EY structure (Management and Service Line) and P&L is a plus.
- Knowledge of EY Firm applications: My Business (Financial Reporting) and Smart View is a plus.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor and/or professional certification in a business-related subject matter (i.e. Accounting, Finance).
- Approximately 4-6 years of experience in FP&A or a related accounting/analysis function.
