Overview: We are seeking a motivated FAAS Manager specializing in controllership process improvements to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in enhancing controllership processes through innovative solutions and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the FAAS team in executing one or more Finance Transformation solutions including the following:
- End to end process study, identify gaps in current process and identify recommendations.
- Process design skills – able to critically review existing processes; make recommendations for rationalisation and improvement.
- Define and develop a finance target operating model. Design business and process models, and help define finance technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
- Execute technology led enterprise transformation projects for our clients
- Knowledge of SAP and other leading ERPs, reporting tools like Blackline, Trintech, Hyperion etc
- Knowledge of consolidation, reporting, inter-company and ERP data structures
- Supporting Process and Control; or should be an expert in driving Financial Statement Close Process, Procure to Pay and Order to Cash, Inventory, Fixed Assets, PPE & Intangible assets processes (along with experience in Risk management)
- Understand fundamentals of data preparation/data modelling necessary for the visualization purpose.
- Capture reporting requirements from various stakeholders, architect the solution/report, understand/analyze the source data and deliver the reports in timely manner
- Strong expertise in designing intuitive and interactive reports/dashboards using Power BI for data driven decisions.
- Participating in development of proposals related to our offerings
- Supporting projects that ensure high quality consulting services to major clients, preferably with a practical approach as learned during working in the business
- Contributing to the creation of new services, tools and materials to be more successful on the market
- Active participation in the creation and maintenance of an environment that enables the team to deliver effectively and achieve the highest quality
- Support in developing our offerings and assets
- Support in maintaining relationships with the client's management in order to deliver the expectations of service
- Supporting development of new service offerings and go-to-market strategies
- Build trust and relationships across EY’s service lines and with external clients.
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
- 5-7 years of experience in public accounting, financial advisory, industry, or a related field.
- Thorough understanding of finance and accounting processes, including upstream business processes.
- Operational accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in data analysis.
- Familiarity with AI, automation, and dashboarding tools and their application in accounting and finance.
- Knowledge and/or experience with digital technologies and their impact on the record to report process including analytical tools, close and reporting tools, and ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative, lead, and think outside the box.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Ideally, you'll also have
- A master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or complementary discipline such as data analytics.
