Reports to: Global ERM Program Leader
Role Summary
The ERM Program Delivery Manager supports the Global ERM Program Leader in the day-to-day delivery of the Global ERM Program across Regions and Member Firms. The role is responsible for managing defined components of the ERM cycle and helping ensure that the ERM program is delivered consistently, on time, and to a high-quality standard. This includes cycle planning, stakeholder coordination, risk assessment support, submission review, mitigation tracking, governance reporting, and data quality oversight.
At a tactical level, this role supports day-to-day execution of the ERM cycle, including submission planning and tracking, coordination of risk workshops, review of risk and mitigation content, action follow-up, governance support, data quality oversight, and coordination with technology teams on ERM tools and reporting.
The opportunity
Enterprise Risk Management plays an important role in helping the EY Network to proactively change behaviors related to key network risks to safeguard the organization while enabling purposeful growth. This would be done through identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting risk in a structured and consistent way. This role provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic global environment and help operationalize the Global ERM strategy across Regions and Member Firms.
This is a delivery-focused role with significant responsibility for the practical running of the ERM program. The successful candidate will help drive execution of the annual and periodic ERM cycle, support risk governance activities, strengthen network capability, improve the consistency of local risk assessments, and enhance the quality of management information available to leadership.
Your key responsibilities:
ERM program delivery and coordination
- Support the Global ERM Program Leader in the day-to-day delivery of the ERM program across Regions and Member Firms.
- Manage agreed elements of the ERM cycle, including planning, milestone tracking, follow-ups, submission management, and status reporting.
- Maintain delivery trackers, action logs, and program dashboards to help ensure activities are completed on time and in line with agreed requirements.
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders on outstanding inputs, actions, and deliverables, and escalate issues as required.
- Coordinate the issuance of timelines, templates, guidance, and communications for each stage of the ERM cycle.
Risk assessment and workshop support
- Support the execution of risk assessments across Member Firms in line with the Global ERM Framework, methodology, and timelines.
- Coordinate and support risk workshops, stakeholder discussions, and calibration sessions to help teams identify, assess, and document enterprise risks.
- Provide practical guidance to stakeholders on risk definitions, scoring criteria, taxonomy, and mitigation expectations.
- Review risk descriptions and supporting content to improve clarity, consistency, and alignment with ERM standards.
- Support the capture of risk drivers, impacts, ratings, and mitigation information in line with the Global ERM Framework.
Submission review, mitigation tracking, and data quality
- Review Member Firm risk and mitigation submissions for completeness, quality, consistency, and alignment with program guidance.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, duplicate content, or unclear submissions and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Support the maintenance of high-quality risk and mitigation data by checking that submissions are current, accurate, and structured appropriately.
- Help improve the consistency of outputs across the Network by providing feedback and sharing examples of good practice.
- Track mitigation actions, owners, due dates, and status updates, and follow up on overdue or incomplete items.
- Work with stakeholders, Business Analysts, and Technology teams to resolve data issues and improve reporting integrity.
Capability building and stakeholder support
- Develop and maintain practical guidance materials, templates, FAQs, and workshop packs to support Member Firm delivery.
- Deliver onboarding and refresher sessions to help stakeholders understand ERM requirements, methodology, timelines, and submission expectations.
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for Member Firm queries, clarifications, and delivery support.
Governance reporting and forum coordination
- Prepare dashboards, summary reports, presentation materials, and briefing packs for Regional ERM Forums and leadership updates.
- Plan and coordinate Regional ERM Forums, including agendas, meeting materials, minutes, action logs, and follow-up tracking.
- Track actions, decisions, and outcomes to support accountability and reporting.
Continuous improvement and operational support
- Gather themes, pain points, and improvement opportunities across Member Firms and share recommendations with the ERM Program Leader and RMEC Custodians.
- Contribute to enhancements in templates, methodology, guidance, and delivery processes.
- Coordinate with Business Analyst / Tech Support resources on user support, data maintenance, analytics, testing, and other program priorities.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management concepts, risk assessment methodology, and mitigation tracking.
- Strong program delivery and coordination skills, including planning, milestone tracking, issue management, and action follow-up.
- Ability to review and challenge risk and mitigation content with good attention to detail and quality.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills, including preparation of governance materials and management updates.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across a matrixed, global environment.
- A hands-on, delivery-focused mindset with sound judgment, accountability, and a continuous improvement orientation.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Typically 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, Governance, Risk Transformation, or risk-focused program delivery / PMO.
- Hands-on experience supporting risk assessments, workshops, mitigation tracking, governance reporting, submission management, or risk data quality review.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across regions, business units, or functions.
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, templates, and guidance materials for management or governance purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a related field.
Preferred certifications
- IRM Certificate / Diploma or other recognized ERM qualification
- CRMA, CRISC, CIA, CISA, PMP, or PRINCE2
- Certifications are preferred, but not mandatory, for this role.
Technologies and tools
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting / visualization tools would be advantageous
- Familiarity with GRC / risk platforms such as Archer, MetricStream, ServiceNow GRC, or similar tools would be beneficial
- Experience using collaboration and workflow tools for action tracking, governance, and reporting
