Business Transformation Manager - EY GDS
Job description
At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.
This role is designed for a Business Transformation Manager who thrives at the intersection of process transformation, technology, and delivery ownership, including data and AI enabled change. As a Business Transformation and Enablement Manager, you will proactively identify opportunities for improvement, shape fit-for-purpose solutions and take end-to-end ownership of transformation initiatives. You will work in high-impact environments that emphasize accountability, collaboration, and the delivery of measurable outcomes.
The opportunity
As a Transformation Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving large-scale transformation across EY Global Delivery Services. You will diagnose current-state business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and design data-driven solutions. Working closely with cross functional teams, you will develop and deploy transformation initiatives, while partnering with the business to enable adoption and scale impact.
Your contributions will help strengthen delivery effectiveness, build scalable capabilities, and support sustainable change while helping EY build a better working world.
Your key responsibilities
· Opportunity Identification & Diagnostic Assessment
Diagnose current operating challenges and identify opportunities to improve business processes, delivery models, and ways of working across initiatives and teams.
· Transformation Planning & Outcome Definition
Translate improvement opportunities into well-defined transformation initiatives with clearly articulated outcomes, success measures, and value targets.
· Solution Shaping & Functional Design
Shape functional and delivery approaches that balance practicality, scalability, and speed of execution, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose.
· Business Case Development & Value Realization
Develop compelling business cases for transformation initiatives by analysing costs, benefits, risks, and return on investment (ROI). Track value realization post-deployment to ensure initiatives deliver expected outcomes and inform prioritization and scaling decisions
· Cross-functional Collaboration & Delivery
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, technology, and enablement stakeholders, to design, build, and deploy transformation initiatives.
· Execution Governance & Rigor
Drive execution rigor through structured planning, dependency management, and progress tracking across multiple workstreams.
· Business Enablement & Adoption Scaling
Partner closely with business stakeholders to embed change, enable adoption, and scale successful solutions across teams and geographies.
· Continuous Improvement & Data-driven Insights
Apply data-driven insights and continuous improvement principles (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Analytics) to take informed decisions and strengthen transformation outcomes.
· Risk Management & Issue Resolution
Act as a trusted point of escalation by proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and maintaining delivery momentum.
· Capability Building & Asset Development
Contribute to the development of repeatable assets, frameworks, and best practices to enhance GDS transformation and enablement capabilities.
· Entrepreneurial Mindset & Ownership
Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset by proactively identifying opportunities, taking ownership beyond defined scope, and driving initiatives from concept to measurable impact in a consulting-oriented environment.
Skills and attributes for success
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong transformation mindset combined with the ability to operate independently in a consulting-style environment. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, diagnosing problems, and driving execution with a clear focus on outcomes.
· Strong ability to assess complex business problems, structure ambiguity, and translate insights into actionable transformation initiatives
· Demonstrated ownership mindset, with the confidence to take accountability end-to-end rather than operating within narrowly defined scopes
· Proven experience collaborating across business, technology, and enablement teams to drive alignment and execution
· Strong analytical capability, with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions, build business cases, and track value realization
· Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, ensuring ideas convert into adopted and scalable solutions
· Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority
· A continuous improvement mindset, with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies viewed as an advantage
· Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments that reward initiative, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking
Ideally, you will also have:
• Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment, with exposure to transformation or enablement‑led engagements
