Role Overview

 

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Executive (BDE)  to lead our partnership ecosystem within the Asset Management and Wealth Management sectors. This is a non-direct sales role. Instead of managing end-clients, you will focus purely on building and orchestrating a "force multiplier" network of technology vendors. Your goal is to identify joint market opportunities where our firm’s Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) can provide high-value consulting or implementation services alongside vendor solutions.

 

Core Responsibilities

 

  • Commercial Relationship Building: Act as the primary commercial point of contact for global and regional technology partners.
  • GTM Strategy & Execution:Design and execute joint Go-To-Market plans with partners to penetrate new accounts or expand within existing Asset/Wealth Management firms.
  • Opportunity Hunting:Proactively meet with partner sales and account managers to identify early-stage client pain points. Lead the initial "commercial discovery" before transitioning the opportunity to internal SMEs.
  • Internal Sector Alignment: Maintain a rigorous cadence with our internal Asset Management Sector Leaders to ensure the pipeline aligns with EY's priorities.
  • Market Mapping: Maintain a "birds-eye view" of the technology landscape to identify which vendors are winning.

 

Knowledge & Skills

 

  • Market Fluency: Understanding of the Asset Management value chain—from deal sourcing and valuation to portfolio monitoring and investor reporting.
  • Commercial Acumen: Embed EY into opportunities partners are pursuing.
  • Network Navigation: Skilled at navigating large, complex global software organizations to find the right decision-makers and influencers.

 

 

Success Metrics

 

  • Joint Pipeline: Volume and quality of qualified leads sourced directly through partners.
  • Partner Influence:Success in getting EY "baked into" vendor-led RFPs and joint pursuits.
  • SME Engagement: Effective handover and conversion of partner leads into active SME-led engagements.
