Job Summary: 

 

Talent Services (TS) is a core service line within the Global Delivery Services organization, providing multiple HR support services including Recruitment support, Onboarding support, People Data Administration, Learning Administration, Cross Border Travel, Global Mobility and Performance Management support to EY member firms. Talent Services provides services to country, sub-area, area and global people teams and other EY stakeholders involved in HR, L&D and recruiting transactions and associated administration, reporting and people infrastructure. These services are delivered from our centres in Kerala and Bangalore, India; Wroclaw, Poland; and Manila, Philippines. The team delivers consistent, high-quality and operationally efficient HR transactional services to EY through a globally efficient and effective network of GDS centres.   

 

Virtual Talent Hub (VTH) for the respective function is an integral part of TS service offerings where the extended delivery model is used along with high-quality skills and competencies delivered virtually. This is across service lines and regions – delivering non-repetitive project-based work through skilled, agile teams. The team in the virtual hub is an extension of the regional talent teams and will cover operational/non-transnational scope. 

Talent Operations VTH supports a specific Area/Region and acts as part of the extended Area/Region team. 

VTH works in a fully integrated way with onshore colleagues participating in meetings, projects and planning activities as part of one team. The Team supports the region in performing operational and administrative tasks to allow the onshore team to focus on consultative and strategic activities based on the priorities of the Area/Region.  

 

Sitting within Talent Operations VTH, the Operations Senior Analyst will play an integral role in executing strategic operations for the Talent functions, including strategic planning and demand management, budgeting and financial management, Talent performance management, knowledge and content management, and communications & engagement. This role work closely with the Operations Consultants to drive the running of ‘operational’ services for Talent function(s). In addition, this role may also participate in continuous improvement projects related to internal operational process or other business enablement functional projects on behalf of the onshore Talent team.

Essential Functions of the Job: 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

The Operations Senior Analyst will work closely with the Operations Consultant and assigned stakeholder Functions across Talent Enablement to support all operating processes. 

 

Budget Management - 

  • Support the Talent Functions in the preparing and submitting their annual, and mid-year budget proposals. 

  • Monitor spending by preparing and/or reviewing monthly reports of actuals and report variances against approved budgets. 

  • Produce reports, integrate, manipulate, analyse and clearly present data to provide insights effectively for assigned Talent Functions and their leadership. 

  • Complete and review Employee and Employment changes and update headcount reports in conjunction with HR. 

  • Manages and reviews organization hierarchy and setting up of org units and managing them. 

  • Reconcile Talent and Finance reports on budgets and headcount to ensure accuracy of data. 

  • Manage and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders aligned to allocated processes. 

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with other business enablement contacts including but not limited to: Finance, Procurement, HR, to ensure any cross-functional initiatives are managed effectively. 

  • Participate in strategic operational projects as part of broader Operations team, including continuously improving or automating the allocated operational processes. 

  • Work closely with other colleagues across operations and service management to provide inputs related to knowledge, communications, performance measurement & score-carding, and service management. 

 

 

 

 

 

Vendor Management - 

  • Implement Vendor and Contractor Management, setting up SoW and contracts, renewals, invoicing, etc. 

  • Supports in setting up of vendor profiles and purchase orders - Vendor onboarding, vendor change, contract management etc. 

 

Measurement and Risk Management - 

  • Review business cases and potentially implement centralized solution for Manage/Supports Independence Compliance - BRIDGE, PIA, InfoSec, compliance of local policies and processes. 

  • Creates, monitors and maintains compliance and other operational reports. 

  • Works with stakeholders across Talent Enablement to provide business case, benefits tracking and performance measurement support for strategic topics within Talent. 

  • Understands the economics of the Talent Team, engages with Finance to report on Indirect Costs of the Talent team as part of performance measurement. 

  • Works with Talent data such as headcount, turnover, experience data to provide a holistic picture of the Talent team. 

 

 
Knowledge and Skills Requirements: 

 

  • Strong knowledge of Talent operating model and operations standards, processes and practices. 

  • Knowledge of one or more operations processes (e.g., Financial Management, Vendor Management).  

  • Expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel. 

  • Strong attention to detail and data administration and analytics skills, with a focus on working with large quantities of data from various sources. 

  • Proven analytical skills, with a methodical, problem-solving mind-set. 

  • Ability to participate effectively in virtual teams and networks across diverse and dispersed geographies. 

  • Ability to respond well to deadlines and work outside of normal hours when required and comfortable working on a number of activities concurrently. 

  • Proactive consulting skills that drive business impact; able to interpret process / service delivery and adoption requirements and, where prioritized, co-create the most relevant & pragmatic approach. 

  • Strong communication skills for sharing thought leadership across EY. 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - the ability to operate within time frames. 

  • Strong research skills to track and interpret trending directions and external market perspectives. 

  • Ability to cope with ambiguity; to drive change and performance outcomes in a complex and agile environment. 

  • A self-starter who can be successful operating in a virtual team environment, working with limited supervision. 

  • Background knowledge to EY People systems highly advantageous. 

 

Other Requirements: 

 

  • Due to global nature of the role; travel and willingness to work alternative hours will be required.

Job Requirements: 
 

Education: 

  • Educated to Bachelor’s degree level. 

  • Higher professional or master’s qualification is preferred, not required. 

Certification Requirements: 

  • Higher professional or master’s qualification in a related discipline is preferred, not required. 

  • Active membership in related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred, not required. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience. 

  • Demonstrable experience working with different stakeholders with competing needs. 

  • Demonstrable experience in a closely related Talent or operations role. 

  • Comfort and/or experience working in global dispersed teams to deliver services, processes and standards. 

  • Demonstrable experience of working in fast-paced, ambiguous, stressful environments to deliver required results. 

  • Demonstrable experience of anticipating issues and challenges and proactively working to navigate challenges.
