Scrum master, Agile PM
Key Responsibilities
- Be a Partner to the Product Owner in prioritizing work through the backlog and stack Scrum Artefacts
- Ensure Product Backlog and Scrum Backlog act as a source of truth for all the Work Items to be managed and prioritized effectively
- Ownership of the Sprint Backlog, its progress, to ensure the latest work status is captured and updated as appropriate.
- Enable Teams to realize their mission and Objective and deliver on their KPI's
- Defining process metrics within the Scrum team to ensure all members including the Product Owner have a seamless communication with the Stakeholders.
- Measure team's progress over time by leveraging metrics like burn-down charts etc.
- Tracking dependencies with other Scrum Teams effectively for a seamless delivery.
- Encouraging team members to self-organize by anticipating and resolving potential blockers and ensuring they are removed or escalated as needed
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and best practices to progress the team's work
- Engaging with team members to explore areas of improvement in Agile practices and bringing a continuous improvement and "MVP" mindset to the team’s work
- Partner with Agile Coaches, Process heads and Agile CoE to foster the training requirements within and across teams.
- Inculcate Agile practices and behaviours as a mindset to attain process maturity
- Provide thought leadership and constructive feedback to team members to help drive Agile maturity, knowledge and effective communication
- Facilitating Agile sprint ceremonies as appropriate including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint reviews, Sprint Retrospectives and backlog refinement
- Working with Senior leadership to facilitate and lead Agile ways of working within the teams
- Enable Organization’s towards new ways of working by embedding Agile principles in the day to day scenarios
- Actively curate a culture supportive of continued improvement, transparency and empowerment
- Assist team members and stakeholders in adopting agile mindset
- Create behavioural models to promote organizational transformation towards an Agile way of working
- Collaborating with other leaders in EY's NextWave strategy implementation and the Agile Centre of Excellence to further drive organizational change
SKILLS DESIRED
- Leverage substantial experience working as part of Agile teams to be viewed as a subject matter expert on core Agile methodologies
- Embed and foster Agile ways of working at the team level by enabling effective teaming and address dependencies and impediments
- Utilize training channels to proactively upskill the team in Agile practices with limited/No support from Agile Coach
- Showcase observation and analytical skills to proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement, propose solutions, and share best practices across Scrum teams.
- Proactiveness to communicate, influence and negotiate with the Product Owners and other Stakeholders to address interdependencies and impediments
- Skillset to navigate through the wider organization to remove impediments impacting team's progress.
- Analyze the existing process and refine it as needed
- Coach and mentor team members to drive continuous improvement
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Total 6+ years’ relevant Agile experience (Scrum Master, \\ Agile Coach/ Mentor) in 1 or more organizations
- Agile Certifications, preferably Scrum.org (PSM I + PSM II) or Scrum Alliance (Certified Scrum Master)
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Software Engineering / Information Technology / MBA / MCA
- Deep understanding of agile software delivery, the path to production and other operational aspects
- Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (DevOps etc.)
- Experience with JIRA/Azure DevOps or other software to manage agile programs
- Good understanding of technology enabled business transformation, Organizational transformation and delivering enterprise-level IT projects
