The opportunity 

You’ll own operational activities within our Career Experience Talent Team, working directly with the Career Experiences Leaders and other team members within our COE.  As part of this high performing team, you’ll partner with members of the Talent Team to support strategies and programs across service lines and industry groups that align with our business goals. Our talent leadership will look to you to serve as the main point of contact for specific operational processes to drive efficiency and adhere to policies established by the firm. You’ll have the support of a network of highly knowledgeable colleagues and the opportunity to make a significant impact to your team and EY.

 

Your key responsibilities

There truly is no typical day in this role. With a diverse range of responsibilities, you'll handle everything from driving operational excellence and improving employee effectiveness to working on transformational projects and programs within EY. Your strong data and analytical skills and keen eye for detail will be key for success in this role.

  • Providing operational support to meet the goals of our business as it pertains to people, quality, growth, and market leadership
  • Identifying, developing, and deploying best practices to enhance organizational and employee effectiveness
  • Building, leveraging and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders across various groups in the firm
  • Leading project/program measurements, including process analysis, reporting of results, and making recommendations to drive improvements
  • Serving as a liaison between firm leadership and functional specialists of a service line or region
  • Leveraging data analytics to identify trends, make comparisons and provide solutions 
  • Managing reports and databases to support talent initiatives
  • Assisting with preparation, evaluation and reporting of the annual COE budget
  • Leveraging understanding of complex workflow operations to consult on well-thought-out suggestions for improvement
  • Facilitating complex solutions across teams requiring ongoing working relationships at varying levels
  • Explaining difficult issues and working to establish consensus, communicating issues and status reports to leadership and/or stakeholders
  • Leading the development of strategies to support key business drivers and initiatives around Careers Agility, Thrive Time or Succession Planning
  • Developing talking points, toolkits and presentation materials

 

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to navigate, utilize and leverage various internal resources
  • Ability to identify, align and improve operational processes across the business
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis, which includes data collection and providing recommendations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Visio and data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Ability to navigate systems, such as applicant tracking systems, Mercury and SharePoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

 

To qualify for this role, you must have

  • Bachelor's degree or related work experience
  • Six-plus years of relate work experience

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Two-plus years of experience preferably within talent, finance, recruiting project management or resource management
  • Experience working in professional services
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business situations
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies extemporaneously
