The opportunity
As a Senior in our FSRM banking team you will work predominantly for the major financial institutions on both local and regional projects. You will be helping clients in the areas of market and credit risk and you will be in touch with the hot topics and regulatory trends (Basel III, IFRS) in the financial markets.
Your key responsibilities
- Active involvement in projects in financial risk modelling, credit risk, market risk, operational risk, methodology designs and reviews by large Hungarian and international banks
- Based on the result of analyses and research, draw meaningful conclusions and recommendations for our clients
- With close cooperation with the Manager colleague, drive the preparation of reports and presentations
- Supervise and coach Assistants, monitor and report delivery status
- Preparation of proposals, project plans for prospective clients

To qualify for the role you must have
- Master’s degree in Economics, Math or Statistics (e.g. Financial Mathematics / Quantitative finance)
- 3-5 years’ experience preferably at major Hungarian financial institutions in the field of risk management:
- Credit risk modeling (scoring and rating models, PD and LGD modeling) or
- Market risk modeling, valuation of financial derivatives and financial instruments or
- Experience in regulatory issues in banking, Basel II/III
- Strong interest in economic analysis / financial data analysis / applied statistics
- Knowledge of the financial markets and the banking industry
- Outstanding analytical and structured thinking
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Knowledge & experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, VBA, SAS, MATLAB, C++, SQL
