The Opportunity

The Finance Manager will work independently with minimal guidance, providing strategic financial leadership and guidance to the finance team. The role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS, and driving operational excellence within the finance function.

 

Your key activities

•    Preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with regulation. Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards.

•    Calculation and preparation of tax returns, supervision of tax settlements, cooperation with Tax Office as well as the preparation of settlements with the Social Insurance Institution and Central Statistical Office

•    Conduct internal audits and collaborate with internal and external auditors.

•    Overseeing finance processes including accounting, taxes, payroll,

•    Leading and developing the finance team (3 people), fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring that staff are trained and equipped to perform their roles effectively.

•    Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

•    Actively support change efforts by articulating benefits and promoting ways to reduce barriers to implementation within the finance team.

•    Contribute to the development of business and functional planning by conducting research and providing new data and insights to improve proposals.

•    Promote operational excellence and process automation by challenging current practices and providing feedback on opportunities for improvement.

•    Participating in the financial planning process. Monitoring budget implementation. Cooperation with the FP&A team - providing explanations insights.

Qualifications and experience

•    Relevant local accounting qualification and minimum 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting.

•    Strong understanding of local GAAP and IFRS.

•    IFRS chartered accountant certificate.

•    English proficiency.

•    Proficient in MS Office suite products and capable of handling large datasets.

•    Excellent planning skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively.

•    Client service-oriented approach towards internal customers.

•    Ability to understand and work with complex structures and business models.

•    Experience working in a multinational/multicultural environment.
