The opportunity
Join EY Global Tax Managed Services operations as a Global Engagement Manager. This role supports and helps lead the end-to-end commercial and operational lifecycle of large global engagements, from pursuits and implementation through steady-state delivery, annual roll-forward cycles and extension negotiations. You will work with senior client stakeholders, EY engagement teams and client stakeholders across multiple countries and service lines. The role is intended for a business-minded professional who can combine commercial acumen, risk awareness, project leadership and a practical understanding of tax and compliance concepts.
What you will work on
- Pursuits and growth: Drive or manage workstreams within pursuits, including commercial inputs, proposal narratives, stakeholder coordination, solution documentation and client presentation materials.
- Contracting and scope: Support and manage contracting activity, SOW development, scope documentation, commercial assumptions, dependency tracking and alignment between client expectations and delivery model.
- Implementation leadership: Lead implementation governance workstreams, document key decisions, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure clear transition from mobilization to steady-state delivery.
- Delivery governance: Oversee delivery cycle governance, including status reporting, issue management, service performance tracking, client communications and management information.
- Commercial management: Identify and manage scope creep, change requests, pricing impacts, delivery risks, service expansion opportunities and escalation items.
- Client relationship management: Maintain trusted working relationships with client stakeholders and EY teams, supporting clear communication, expectation management and effective issue resolution.
- Annual roll-forward and extensions: Lead annual roll-forward activities, scope refreshes, governance pack updates, commercial planning and support contract extension or renewal negotiations.
- AI-enabled delivery: Promote responsible use of AI and automation to improve drafting, reporting, workflow management, risk review, knowledge capture and stakeholder experience.

To qualify for the role, you should have
- Bachelor or Master degree in business, law, economics, finance, accounting, tax or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of tax and compliance operating models, with experience overseeing or managing tax and compliance services, programmes or operations in a client-facing environment.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in professional services, consulting, legal services, tax, finance operations, managed services, project management or contract management.
- Experience managing client-facing workstreams, governance processes or commercial delivery activities.
- Experience with contracts, Statements of Work, scope management, change requests or service delivery documentation.
- Strong PowerPoint, Excel and management reporting capability.
- Strong English communication skills, with confidence preparing senior stakeholder materials.
