The opportunity
Join EY Global Tax Managed Services operations as a Direct Tax Operations Associate. This role supports the end-to-end lifecycle of large multinational engagements, including pursuits, client onboarding, implementation, live delivery, annual roll-forward activities and extension cycles. You will work across global engagements involving direct tax, other tax types, statutory reporting and wider compliance processes. The role is designed for someone who wants broad exposure to commercial management, client service, project coordination and governance in a global tax managed services environment.
What you will work on
- Pursuits and proposals: Support pursuit activity by coordinating inputs, preparing trackers, building first drafts of client materials and helping maintain proposal documentation.
- Contracting and onboarding: Support contracting workflows, maintain draft documentation, coordinate inputs to Statements of Work and document onboarding decisions, milestones and dependencies.
- Implementation support: Track implementation actions, owners and deadlines; prepare meeting notes; maintain decision logs; and support clear transition from mobilization into steady-state delivery.
- Delivery cycle: Help monitor deliverables, status updates, open issues, commercial actions and scope considerations across multi-country engagements.
- Client reporting: Prepare clear status materials, issue logs, action trackers and presentation drafts for client governance meetings and internal leadership updates.
- Issue and scope management: Support documentation of scope questions, delays, dependencies and potential scope creep, escalating items through the appropriate governance channels.
- Annual roll-forward: Assist with annual refresh of engagement materials, scope confirmations, country lists, timelines, resource assumptions and governance packs.
- AI and process improvement: Use AI-enabled tools responsibly to support drafting, summarization, tracking, quality checks and process improvement, subject to EY policies and review requirements.

- Clear written and verbal communication style, including ability to draft client-ready materials with review.
- Interest in global business operations, managed services and commercial management.
- Comfortable coordinating across multiple stakeholders, countries and service lines.
- Able to turn meeting discussions into structured notes, actions, risks and follow-ups.
- Curious about AI, automation and practical productivity tools.
- Basic understanding of tax, finance, legal or compliance concepts.
- Positive attitude, ownership mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment.
To qualify for the role, you should have
- Bachelor degree in business, law, economics, finance, accounting, tax or a related discipline.
- Around 1 year of relevant experience through employment, internship, graduate role or comparable project exposure.
- Experience preparing presentations, reports, meeting notes or structured written materials.
- Good Excel and PowerPoint capability.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Interest in client service, project management, risk governance and global engagements.
