Communications Lead for EY GDS Hungary

We’re looking for someone who can define and execute impactful strategies and materials to communicate externally and internally to potential employees, employees, our communities and stakeholders to build our employer brand.

 

Across these audiences, we work with the business to bring our purpose, building a better working world, to life and build the commercial value and emotional resonance of the EY and the EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) brand.

 

Working in a fast-paced, global environment, this role acts as a trusted business advisor to the GDS Hungary leadership team to drive strategic internal and external communications programs, enhance GDS’ social media presence and build our brand through traditional and digital PR. The role also involves line management and budgeting as needed.

 

The opportunity

We need a motivated self-starter who thrives on planning and executing integrated interna and external campaigns considering owned, earned and bought media.

 

You will be a strategic thinker, confident writer and editor, and a strong relationship builder. You see how each opportunity, development and story connects, seamlessly weaving between internal communications and engagement activities, digital marketing, events, advertising and PR.

 

You must be able to translate business strategy into measurable tactics, work in virtual teams and manage a range of global, GDS and local programs simultaneously. As you develop your campaigns, you will consider and apply the latest trends and techniques, and use metrics to inform your decisions.

 

You will manage the relationship and work between our team, in-house designers, external vendors/agencies and editorial groups across EY.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the internal and external communications plan to position GDS Hungary as a transformative, growing organization and ensure consistent communication programs for the organization’s employees.

  • Build relationships and coordinate with external partners including associations and other business organizations

  • Organize internal and external events (global visits, employer branding events)

  • Coordinate both local and global marketing and communication projects – campaigns, designs, media publication

  • Support employer branding initiatives to strengthen the company image as an employer of choice

  • Advise GDS Hungary leadership on how to effectively use external communications and social media to make an impact with key audiences

  • Work with external agencies, as necessary

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Excellent English and Hungarian language copy writing, editing and storytelling skills; strong verbal communication skills

  • Solid experience in event management and employee engagement

  • Knowledge of modern digital marketing tactics and tools

  • Ability to network and collaborate across a matrixed organization

  • Proven capability to translate the business agenda into high-quality, audience-centric communications

  • Advanced listening and interpretation skills

  • Creative, innovative thinking and problem solving

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent project management with strong deadline-orientation as well as the ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize work, delegate and multi-task

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or public relations

  • 7-10 years in external or internal communications roles with 3+ years of experience in digital marketing including digital PR and/or paid media

  • Previous experience in large, matrix organizations.
