The opportunity

•    There is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre Associate/Junior to join the MENA Tax and Law team for a permanent position as MENA Tax Markets Enablement Associate.
•    Our key goals are around business growth, and the person in this role will be working on initiatives which support client-facing teams in winning more in the market and taking new solutions.
•    The ability to build relationships is key to the success of the role and building an internal network across other regional functions such as MENA Markets/Accounts and Business Development, Service Line Markets/Operations counterparts in Consulting, Assurance and Strategy and Transactions; and EMEIA Tax counterparts in Markets, BD, Talent and other functions.
•    The individual will be supporting the MENA Tax Markets Leader but also MENA Tax Leader and Tax COO as the ultimate stakeholders for this role. In the broader team they will be supporting MENA Markets Senior Manager and Manager with BD insights, forecasting, performance analysis and working to identify and develop initiatives that support business growth.
•    There will be ownership of projects and initiatives so the ideal candidate will have experience of aligning with key business priorities and working with colleagues to drive success.

 

Your key responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in the role will include, but are not limited to supporting the MENA Tax Markets Leader in driving markets strategy and agenda for MENA Tax and Law through
•    MENA Tax priorities Supporting the MENA Tax Markets Leader in delivering Markets-centric priorities 
•    High growth tax solutions with a focus on accelerating growth in key areas of the business
•    Tax themes from Tax Policy, Sustainability, or the impacts of the Metaverse and other emerging technologies on our clients, the candidate will be supporting initiatives which help our teams take solutions to market that support our clients in dealing with transformative change
•    Sales pipeline management through driving accurate recording and maintenance of opportunities
•    Deal review process management
•    Account focused support to channel shifting accounts, high growth sectors or priority targets from internal account planning to client forums and supporting our client conference
•    Regional support through campaigns, best practice and collaborating with teams all across the EMEIA area 
•    Driving adoption of best practice and working to create and monitor directories of guides for our client facing teams, and supporting our internal Learning conference
•    Stakeholder reporting and updates to MENA Tax leadership, presenting status updates on initiatives and business performance

 

Teaming and collaborating through:

•    Creating valuable connections through your personal network at EY
•    Have a solid understanding of the MENA Tax and Law performance and growth metrics
•    Working to support sales and pipeline data quality and management of regular reporting
•    Collaboration with BMC (Marketing and Communications) to support the execution of campaigns and events
•    Supporting the organization and management of internal meetings, webcasts and calls as well as other ad-hoc or strategic projects for Markets function as they arise

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a client-centric professional environment in a business development or market-focused position
  • Previous experience in monitoring or driving business growth
  • Time and project management skills – able to plan and manage time effectively and flexibly to deal with key priorities 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organised with a sound attention to detail and an ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Technology focused 

 

Ideally you’ll also have
•    Preferred background within Big 4, multi-facetted financial services or professional services organisation
•    Education: Bachelor or Masters degree or equivalent recommended
•    An innovative, confident and creative manner with ability to make decisions
