The Opportunity

 

You`ll work as part of a high-performing team on a broad range of clients and assignments that will stretch and challenge you. You`ll be encouraged and expected to take accountability and make an impact.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Member of the Global Compliance and Reporting team that will ensure chartered accountancy and tax compliance assignments for the clients and team’s professional and personal development.

 

  • Conduct or supervise regular chartered accountancy assignments for the clients, mainly local subsidiaries of SEC and EU listed companies. This will include:
  • Supervise and review the recurring statutory reporting, tax compliance and management/group reporting preparation services for the clients
  • Organize and delegate the tasks to the senior and junior consultants
  • Identify potential fiscal risks and opportunities, consult with the Partners and communicate these to the management of the clients
  • Identify additional services and liaise with managers from other EY service lines / sub-service lines to identify cross sales opportunities
  • In consultation with the Partners and specialists from EY network, handle the accounting and tax compliance aspects of an exceptional client situation (acquisition, merger, restructuring of the finance department, redundancy schemes, etc.)  
  • Ensure the compliance of the activities performed with the EY Quality & Risk Management Procedures as well as the Independence Requirements applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the engagements and completion of the annual budgets
  • Responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, proposal preparation and presentations to potential clients in coordination with the Partners
  • Counseling, appraisal and motivation of the senior consultants and assistant consultants
  • Involved in the recruiting process of EY tax department.

  • Problem solving capabilities

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Business school or university graduate in accounting and finance
  • At least six years’ experience in a chartered accountancy firm
  • Proven experience of managing a team
  • Good level of business English is essential
