The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Transformation Manager to join our growing team in Romania. In this leadership role, you will oversee end-to-end transformation projects for our German-speaking clients across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). You will guide clients in rethinking business models, streamlining operations, and implementing digital solutions to drive efficiency and growth.
This is a client-facing role requiring excellent German and English communication skills, a strong consulting mindset, and proven experience in the transformation space.
Your key responsibilities
• Lead and manage business and digital transformation projects across various industries.
• Act as a trusted advisor to DACH clients by analyzing current business challenges and co-developing innovative digital solutions.
• Perform process analysis, gap assessments, and operating model design.
• Collaborate with internal and client stakeholders to define and deliver comprehensive transformation roadmaps.
• Guide the implementation of digital tools, automation, ERP/CRM systems, and data-driven solutions.
• Utilize Agile, Lean, or traditional project management methodologies to ensure successful project execution.
• Deliver presentations, reports, and workshops to senior stakeholders in German and English.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities.
Skills and attributes for success
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent (preferred).
• 5–10+ years of experience in: Business transformation and/or digital transformation projects, consulting (management or IT), ideally with exposure to multinational or DACH clients, change management, operating model redesign, or digital strategy implementation, proven success in driving end-to-end transformation programs in the DACH market.
• German: Fluent (C1–C2 level) — verbal and written business communication.
• English: Fluent (mandatory).
• Romanian: Native or professional proficiency (expected for Romania-based roles).
• Familiarity with technologies such as: ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA is a strong plus), CRM tools (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), process automation (RPA, AI, analytics platforms), Agile, Scrum or SAFe methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Presentation and facilitation skills, especially with executive-level stakeholders.
• Previous on-site work experience or extended client engagement in the DACH region is highly valued.
Nice to have
• Certification in:
- PMP, PRINCE2, Prosci (Change Management)
- SAP (e.g., SAP Activate)
- Agile/Scrum Master, SAFe
• Familiarity with ESG, sustainability-related transformation projects.
• Experience with nearshore or offshore delivery models.
