Manager Supply Chain - Planning

Are you willing to take the challenge of building a better working world, improving supply chain performance in a dynamic, digital world?

The opportunity

In today’s shape-shifting world, companies need to do more than just meet customer needs — they need to anticipate them. Customers want on-demand access to products that are specifically tailored to their preferences. In response, companies and their supply chains need to be able to deliver as fast as customers think. This need for greater agility, while being mindful of the bottom line, places pressure on supply chain planning and the planners who are expected to keep pace within an ever-accelerating environment.

Supply chain planning professionals are therefore more and more relying on technological assets to assist them in their day-to-day job. It’s in that respect that EY has built a strong relationship with OMP – a  Belgian based provider of digital supply chain planning solutions.

For our growing Supply Chain and Operations practice in Belgium we are looking for an OMP Manager to strengthen our Planning team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manager your key role will be to deliver projects that improve our client’s business performance, in line with our Exceptional Client Service approach. Drawing on your knowledge, skills and experience, you will build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers, support bids, proposals and thought leadership, and coach and support EY consultants and client team members to deliver sustainable business outcomes.

You will implement and deliver OMP solutions end-to-end and have the task to:

  • Optimize the Supply Chain Planning processes and functions of our clients while translating their business needs into functional and technical requirements for the OMP solutions.
  • Be hands on in the tools and co-create solutions that fit our clients’ needs and are in line with the capabilities of OMP
  • Assist in the configuration and parametrization of the OMP solutions
  • Have an eye for the impact the new ways of working will have on the end-user and implement solutions to smoothen the transition (eg. Training, end-user profiling,…)

In addition, you’ll actively establish and strengthen the relationships with our regional and global Supply Chain Planning leadership teams and with the OMP senior management.

Your knowledge and experience, combined with EY’s thought leadership on the future of Supply Chain Planning, will allow you to provide innovative insights for clients, adapting our service offerings, solutions, and methods to fit the operational teams and cultural needs.

You are thorough and result oriented and work together with the client on implementing solutions. You often work in an international environment on projects with a significant impact on company results.

Profile

  • A master’s degree with emphasis in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Logistics with strong academic records
  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering sustained improvements in business performance through technology, gained in consultancy or the industry either as an end-user or as an implementation lead.
  • You are passionate about Supply Chain planning and can rely on strong knowledge and experience in this field or one of the sub-fields (demand planning, forecasting, S&OP, IBP, EBP, DRP, Production Scheduling,…),
  • You are technologically savvy and had prior experience with Supply Chain Planning Systems (OMP, O9, Kinaxis) but most of all you are willing to gather deep knowledge about OMP.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, French and/or Dutch
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, drive, enthusiasm, conceptual thinking, communication and influencing skills and pragmatism in execution
  • Entrepreneurial spirit & excellent business development skills
  • Intrinsic motivation to help establish and strengthen relationships with our clients
  • Commitment to support the development of others through taking on coaching and counselling roles for team members

Offer

  • You will join an ambitious, international, dynamic team, genuinely passionate about its work, within a leading global professional services firm;
  • We offer extensive trainings, both on technical matters, as well on soft skills and project management;
  • We offer you an attractive remuneration package (competitive salary, net allowances and extensive fringe benefits: company car with fuel card, smart phone, health insurance, pension plan, etc).;
  • We give you the opportunity to take an executive role in growing the planning practice within the SC&O team.
  • We are proud of our flexible working arrangements, and we will support you to build a successful career and deliver excellent client service without sacrificing your personal priorities. While our client-facing profession might require regular travel, and at times working at client sites, we are committed to help you achieve a work-life balance;
  • At EY we are passionate about the inclusion and support of individuals of all groups; we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability status.
