Join our Valuation Modelling and Economics (VME) division within the Strategy and Transactions (SaT) sector. As a pivotal leader in a global network of over 10,000 experts across 100 nations, you will provide high-level counsel to clients on capital preservation, optimization, acquisition, and investment strategies. Our SaT service line encompasses specialised groups such as Mergers and Acquisitions, Project Finance, Corporate Restructuring, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Transaction Tax, and Valuation, Modelling and Economics.
We’re looking for Manager or Senior Manager to join our Decision Modelling team in Brisbane during a time of strong growth. As part of our valuations and decision business modelling team, you’ll manage, deliver and review a wide range of decision modelling engagements supporting our clients in making critical business decisions. You will also have the opportunity to grow our market presence and lead in the winning of work. Working with a wide variety of clients and industries, you’ll gain experience in understanding client issues and building client relationships. Your key responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling projects for various purposes such as management planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and reorganisation, and corporate strategy.
- Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed
- Assume a leadership role in report generation and detailed financial modelling
- Build and nurture positive, productive, and professional relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, mentor colleagues, stay informed about current business and economic trends relevant to clients, and leverage the latest technology and tools to enhance service delivery.
- Seek out and seize new business opportunities, participating in client proposals and presentations to grow the valuation practice.
- Mentor and develop junior team members through delegation and hands-on training, fostering an inclusive and innovative team environment.
What we’re looking for

- A bachelor's degree with around 8 years of relevant work experience, or a master's degree with approximately 7 years of related work experience.
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, preferably with a degree in IT, Engineering, Economics, Sciences, or Accounting & Finance.
- Highly desirable knowledge in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, strategy, and/or financial research.
- Experience in business development and client management.
- Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to create financial models based on strategic financial business plans.
- Ability to manage project expenditures against budget and revenue, and provide guidance to team members to ensure the completion of work deliverables.
Candidates with experience in leading and developing high quality teams will be highly valued with technical expertise in excel based business and financial modelling being essential. Experience or awareness with other analytics tools and technologies, including data visualisation, MS Access/VBA, VBA, SQL, MS Visio, BI tools, will also be highly valued.
