EY-Parthenon Manager - Transactions and Corporate Finance - Transaction Diligence

The opportunity

At EY-Parthenon, our unique combination of transformative strategy, transactions, tax and corporate finance delivers real-world value – solutions that work in practice, not just on paper. Benefiting from EY’s full spectrum of services, we’ve reimagined strategic consulting to work in a world of increasing complexity. With deep functional and sector expertise, paired with innovative AI-powered technology and an investor mindset, we partner with CEOs, boards, private equity and governments every step of the way.

As a Manager, Transaction Diligence, you'll lead financial due diligence engagements for major acquisitions, divestments and strategic investments across Australia and internationally. Working closely with leading corporates, private equity clients and executive stakeholders, you'll provide critical financial and commercial insights that influence transaction outcomes while mentoring and developing high-performing teams. This is an outstanding opportunity for experienced transaction professionals seeking greater deal leadership responsibility within a growing and highly collaborative practice.

This is a hybrid position based in Meanjin – Brisbane. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage financial due diligence engagements on a day-to-day basis from planning through to delivery, helping clients navigate complex transactions with confidence.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while leading multidisciplinary teams across several concurrent deals.
  • Coach and develop junior team members while contributing to business development and growth initiatives within the Transaction Diligence practice.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in financial due diligence, transaction services, deals advisory or a related transactions-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage stakeholders and deliver high-quality client outcomes under tight deadlines.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and completion of CA, CPA or an equivalent professional qualification.

Ideally, you'll also have the skills and attributes below but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes. We're interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Experience gained within a Big 4, leading mid-tier advisory firm or corporate transactions environment. Candidates with prior audit and assurance experience are encouraged to apply for the role.
  • Strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions, transaction processes and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
  • Commercial mindset with strong business development and relationship management capabilities.
