Director - Corporate Tax - Private Clients
The opportunity
As a Director in our Private Tax team, you will play a leading role in shaping and growing a portfolio of sophisticated private clients, including large privately owned businesses and corporate groups, high net wealth individuals and families, and entrepreneurial start-ups. This is a strategic leadership opportunity to deepen client relationships, drive complex advisory outcomes, and contribute to the continued growth of our practice across both domestic and international tax matters.

This position is based in Meanjin – Brisbane.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of complex and high-value private clients, including privately owned corporate groups operating in Australia and internationally, privately owned businesses, high net wealth families, trusts, and other privately held entities.
- Provide strategic oversight of tax compliance, reporting, planning, and advisory engagements across diverse entity structures, ensuring technical excellence, commercial relevance, and exceptional client service.
- Partner closely with Partners and senior Tax leaders to deliver tailored advice on complex tax matters, including restructures, domestic and cross-border transactions, capital gains tax, Division 7A, trust structuring, and broader private wealth issues.
Skills and attributes for success
- Extensive experience in Tax Consulting specialising in private/middle market, ideally gained in a top-tier or second-tier accounting firm or legal practice.
- A strong track record of leading high-performing teams, developing talent, and creating an inclusive, growth-oriented culture.
- Deep tax technical expertise across corporate groups, trusts, private wealth, and individuals, with the ability to apply this knowledge in complex and commercially sensitive environments.
