Personal TAX Intern – Bratislava

As an intern in the EY Tax department, you will participate in preparing tax returns, largely for internationally seconded employees, and in determining appropriate answers and solutions to tax, social security/health insurance, immigration and other issues related to the income of individuals and their international mobility.

Contract type: Agreement on temporary work for students / Internship

Wage (gross): 7.5/hour

Your key responsibilities

• Preparation and review of income tax returns for individuals, mainly with an international or other specific element
• Preparation of various tax filings – e.g., tax registrations, notifications, written responses to tax authority questions and notices
• Direct communication with clients and tax authorities regarding routine procedural and non-tax technical issues, plus communication with EY offices abroad
• Assistance in preparing written opinions on tax, social security/health insurance, immigration and other issues relating to the income of individuals as well as employers’ obligations in this area
• Investigation and implementation of solutions concerning cross-border mobility of employees and their remuneration

Skills and attributes for success

• Third to fourth-year full-time university student, focusing on economics
• Fluent knowledge of English and Slovak
• Computer literacy (MS Office, advanced in MS Excel)
• Strong communication skills
• Analytical and conceptual thinking
• Client-oriented approach
• Team player
