At EY, we are looking for a new colleague to join our team of payroll professionals. If payroll administration interests you, you have a basic understanding of payroll processes, and you are eager to gain experience in an international environment, we would be happy to welcome you to our team.

Whether you have been exposed to payroll processes through employment, an internship, or part-time work, what matters most is your willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced professionals. Ideally, you have participated in at least one full payroll cycle and can communicate in English at an intermediate level.

In this role, you will support payroll processing and payroll advisory services for clients across various industries. This will provide you with diverse experience, direct client exposure, and continuous learning opportunities alongside experienced professionals.

Your key responsibilities  

  • Process and administer payroll activities in compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies.
  • Communicate with clients and relevant state authorities.
  • Perform administrative activities related to payroll processing.
  • Prepare payroll reports and outputs according to client requirements.
  • Prepare and process employee onboarding and offboarding documentation.
  • Register and deregister employees with health insurance and social insurance institutions.
  • Maintain attendance records and process payroll calculations, including allowances and supplements.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to insurance authorities, monthly tax reports, annual tax declarations, taxable income confirmations, and annual income tax reconciliations for employees.
  • Ensure proper archiving of payroll documentation.
  • Process payroll deductions.Handle documentation related to sick leave and family care leave.
  • Maintain and update employee information in payroll systems.
  • Continuously develop your knowledge of payroll processes and employment legislation.

 

Skills and attributes for success  

- English language proficiency at B1 level or higher, with the ability to communicate in an international environment.
- Understanding of Slovak Labour Code regulations.
- Previous experience in payroll administration, ideally covering at least one full payroll cycle.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Secondary or university education in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
