Would you like to be part of the EY Tax team, serving international clients? Are you interested in personal income taxation?
Marián Bíž, EY Slovakia Managing Partner and Partner of the Personal Tax team, says: “As a member of our team, you will be involved in interesting projects for major international companies. Our work encompasses a variety of tasks ‒ from assisting with international employee secondments, helping incoming employees in Slovakia, through preparing tax returns where YOU become the contact point, to setting up remuneration schemes. These tasks are often more complex than they may seem at first. Each project and each employee is unique and therefore we need to respond accordingly, applying our knowledge to different situations. One thing is for sure: there is an abundance of engaging projects and new challenges available.”
Our team is made up of experienced professionals and tax consultants who will provide you with the support and space you need to develop. We encourage our employees to choose a career path that is unique to them. That is why we meet as a team every week to discuss our workload and projects openly. We strive to allow team members to engage in projects that align with their preferences.
We will teach you everything necessary; therefore, no previous experience in the areas mentioned above is required.
Your key responsibilities
• Preparation of complex tax returns: You will be involved in preparing complex personal income tax returns and monthly reporting, which are fundamental to our work. Your role will be to analyze laws and translate theory into practice. To do this, you will apply international treaties and laws to assess the income of individuals and calculate their tax liability. Additionally, you will address other areas such as immigration, social security and health insurance. You will not be involved in routine personal tax returns or the preparation of tax returns for sole traders.
• Process improvement: We strive to enhance our working experience, which is why routine tasks, such as filing tax returns or completing forms, are now automated and performed by our robot. Within our service line, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the further development of automation.
• Producing analyses: If you prefer writing over numbers, we will provide you with the opportunity to work with data and laws to produce complex written analyses. These analyses will primarily focus on personal income tax as well as social security and health insurance issues. Additionally, you may encounter HR due diligence projects, specifically assessing HR-related matters for companies undergoing sale.
• Individual client support: You will work in a team dedicated to supporting individual clients. We will provide you with the opportunity to gain unique experience in advising on complex life situations and non-routine income, such as income from investments, trusts or foundation trusts.
