Intern Statistician Econometrician for Credit Risk team

As one of the fastest growing teams in the consulting market, we are looking for new colleagues to strengthen our Credit Risk team.

You will become a member of a young team comprising 30 professionals, predominantly qualified in mathematics. Most projects are realized from our Bratislava office but there will also be opportunities for involvement in internationally focused work.

Our clients are global financial groups operating in Central Europe, the USA and other regions of the world. We help them in areas such as credit risk management process improvements, model development and validation, stress testing, capital adequacy calculations and regulatory impact analyses.

Your key responsibilities

Your main role will be to actively contribute to projects through analyzing financial or other project-related data, performing statistical testing, producing interactive outputs in various software programs and subsequently communicating the results to the project team. The outputs of your work will be part of the final deliverables for the client.

In our team, your learning will be continuously informed by insights gained from the changing nature of our tasks. You will be also given the opportunity to work on projects that involve fast-moving and trending topics, such as intelligent automation and machine learning.

Skills and attributes for success

• University student in mathematics, statistics, or econometrics
• Knowledge of quantitative methods (regression techniques, time series, clustering, survival analysis, data mining)
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 at an advanced level
• Passion for programming (R, SAS, SQL preferred)
• Well-developed communication skills
• Responsibility and proactivity
• Willingness to learn
• Excellent knowledge of English (in some projects, the entire communication is in English)

Salary conditions: 7,5 €/ hour (gross).
