Tax Accountant, Tax, Wealth and Asset Management (State and Local Tax) (Financial Services Office) (Senior) (Multiple Positions) (1574356), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Boston, MA.
Work with a team to analyze an evolving partnership state tax portfolio of complex operations to provide meaningful business insights. Identify potential opportunities and risks to communicate to clients. Develop clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients’ partnership state tax activities. Support and develop staff’s overall growth and knowledge, communicate with clients regarding open items, issues and follow-up items, detail review compliance work related to state tax extensions, quarterly estimates, schedule K-1 packages and state tax returns (partnership).
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law or a related field and 2 years of related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law or related field and 1 year of related work experience.
Must have 1 year of experience in state and local Income/Franchise tax compliance, including process and project management.
Must have 1 year of experience at a professional services company or in-house experience in a wealth and asset management company.
Must have 1 year of experience in one of the following: Microsoft Excel, One Source Tax Compliance Software, Corptax, or Premium Pro.
Must meet one of the following: sufficient coursework/experience requirements (as determined by state Board of Accountancy) to obtain US CPA certification within two years of hire or be a member of a US State Bar.
