The Opportunity
Our clients are increasingly leveraging real-world data and evidence to inform decision-making across drug development, regulatory strategy, market access, safety, and commercialization. This Senior Manager role within the Life Sciences Consulting practice will help pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations design, build, and execute Real World Evidence (RWE) strategies that generate measurable business and clinical value.
The individual will lead client engagements, develop market-facing solutions, support business development efforts, and advise executives on the use of real-world data and evidence throughout the product lifecycle. This position requires a recognized industry leader with deep expertise in evidence generation and late-phase research programs.
Your Key Responsibilities
Much of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with life sciences organizations to develop and execute Real World Evidence strategies. Responsibilities include:
- Leading client engagements focused on real-world data and evidence generation
- Serve as a strategic leader for the Real World Evidence (RWE) practice by defining and scaling service offerings, developing go-to-market strategies, generating and converting business opportunities, and leading the delivery of complex client engagements across late-phase research and evidence-generation programs.
- Advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients on evidence strategies supporting development, regulatory, market access, and commercial objectives
- Designing and implementing evidence-generation programs using real-world data sources
- Developing solutions focused on late-phase research, Phase IV studies, registries, post-approval research, and observational studies
- Supporting business development activities, proposal creation, and thought leadership initiatives
- Building relationships with senior client stakeholders and industry leaders
- Identifying opportunities to expand existing client engagements and deliver additional value
- Leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring delivery excellence
- Contributing to publications, conference presentations, and other forms of external thought leadership
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Deep expertise in Real World Evidence (RWE) and Real World Data (RWD)
- Strong understanding of evidence-generation strategies across the pharmaceutical product lifecycle
- Experience designing and executing Phase IV clinical studies, patient registries, and observational research programs
- Knowledge of post-approval safety studies, comparative effectiveness research, and outcomes research
- Experience developing client-facing offerings, solutions, or service lines related to RWE
- Demonstrated success building business pipelines and expanding client relationships
- Experience selling and delivering large-scale engagements for pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations
- Strong industry presence, including publications, presentations, or participation in key industry forums
- Ability to translate complex scientific and evidence-generation concepts into strategic business recommendations
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
To Qualify for the Role You Must Have
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MPH, MS, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific, public health, health economics, epidemiology, or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or consulting environments
- Significant experience in Real World Evidence, Real World Data, epidemiology, outcomes research, or related evidence-generation functions
- Experience leading evidence-generation programs for large pharmaceutical organizations
- Proven experience supporting business development and developing client relationships
- Experience managing teams and leading complex engagements
- Willingness to travel as required
Ideally, You'll Also Have
- Experience working with large healthcare, claims, EMR/EHR, registry, or specialty data sources
- Experience collaborating with regulatory, medical affairs, clinical development, market access, and commercial teams
- Strong publication history and external industry visibility

- The salary range for this job is:
- New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $180,500 to $374,800
- Bay Area California offices – $188,100 to $390,500
- All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $150,400 to $343,600
- Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
