The Opportunity

Our clients operate in a world where bringing innovative therapies to patients requires increasingly complex clinical development strategies and execution models. This Senior Manager role within the Life Sciences Consulting practice will help pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and emerging biopharma organizations optimize clinical development and trial operations.

The individual will lead large client engagements, develop innovative solutions, advise executive stakeholders, and support business growth across the clinical development lifecycle. This role will focus on helping clients improve the design, execution, and delivery of clinical programs, including site engagement, operational execution, and clinical trial transformation initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities

Much of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with life sciences organizations to deliver high-impact clinical operations and clinical development solutions. Responsibilities include:

• Leading key workstreams and large-scale client engagements related to clinical development and clinical operations
• Advising clients on clinical trial execution, site management strategies, patient recruitment, and study performance optimization
• Developing recommendations to improve clinical development operating models, processes, and organizational effectiveness
• Managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality client outcomes
• Building and maintaining relationships with senior client stakeholders
• Supporting business development activities and contributing to proposal development and thought leadership
• Staying abreast of industry trends, evolving regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies impacting clinical development
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Deep subject matter expertise in clinical operations and clinical development
• Experience working directly with investigative sites and site networks supporting clinical trials
• Strong understanding of clinical trial planning, execution, monitoring, and study management
• Knowledge of clinical development processes across Phase I-IV studies
• Experience with site feasibility, startup, enrollment optimization, and site performance management
• Familiarity with clinical trial operating models and clinical process transformation initiatives
• Ability to translate complex clinical and operational challenges into actionable business solutions
• Experience leading project teams and managing multiple client stakeholders
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to lead large workstreams and deliver high-quality client outcomes

To Qualify for the Role You Must Have:

• Bachelor's, Master's, PharmD, PhD, RN, or other relevant scientific degree
• 10+ years of experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or life sciences consulting organizations
• Significant experience supporting or leading clinical trial operations
• Experience working directly with clinical sites, investigators, and study teams
• Experience with clinical development strategy, operational planning, and execution
• Knowledge of GCP requirements and clinical research processes
• Experience managing teams and client relationships
• Willingness to travel as required

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

• Advisory or consulting experience supporting life sciences organizations
• Experience with decentralized clinical trials, digital health technologies, or clinical trial innovation initiatives
• Experience across multiple therapeutic areas

• The salary range for this job is:
  • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $180,500 to $374,800
  • Bay Area California offices – $188,100 to $390,500
  • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $150,400 to $343,600
• Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
