EY Malawi is looking for an EY-Parthenon Manager to help clients make better strategic, transaction and transformation decisions. This is a broad, market-facing role for someone who can combine strong commercial thinking, financial analysis and practical problem-solving to support clients across the full EY-Parthenon agenda.

You will work across Transformative Strategy and Transformative Transactions, supporting engagements that may include growth strategy, market assessment, business planning, transaction support, valuation, financial modelling, due diligence, value creation and performance improvement. You will also work closely with regional EY-Parthenon teams and the wider EY network to bring the right expertise to Malawi clients.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, working with senior stakeholders and helping clients move from strategic choices to practical execution.

You will support a range of clients, including corporates, investors, financial institutions, development organisations, public sector entities and growing local businesses.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage strategy, transaction and transformation engagements from planning through delivery.
• Lead analysis, structure complex business issues and turn findings into clear recommendations.
• Support growth strategy, market assessment, business planning, operating model, performance improvement and transformation work.
• Support transaction-related work, including commercial due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, modelling, transaction readiness and post-deal value creation.
• Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and decision papers for senior clients and EY leadership.
• Build trusted client relationships and contribute to proposals and market development.
• Work with regional EY-Parthenon teams and wider EY specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Coach junior team members and help build EY-Parthenon capability in Malawi.

To Qualify for the Role, You Should Have

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, engineering, mathematics, data analytics or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, transaction advisory, corporate finance, financial analysis, business transformation, investment analysis or commercial advisory.
• Experience managing workstreams, supervising junior team members and working directly with clients.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability.
• Understanding of the Malawi business environment and regional market dynamics.

Ideally, You Will Also Have

• Experience in more than one area such as strategy, due diligence, valuation, financial modelling, restructuring, performance improvement or transformation.
• Exposure to sectors relevant to Malawi, such as financial services, agriculture, consumer products, energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, development sector or public sector.
• A relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CFA, CIMA, CA or equivalent.
• Experience working with regional or cross-border teams.
