Role description: Student Experience Consultant (Senior Associate)
Reporting to: UK TSS Student Experience Senior Consultant (Supervising Associate)
Location: Birmingham
Talent Shared Services (TSS) is a Birmingham based, centralised team who play a crucial role supporting the firm’s Talent strategy and employee lifecycle. Comprising a broad spectrum of teams, the TSS provide efficient and specialised support in the areas of: HR Advisory, payroll, employee data management, absence case management, Talent Information Systems, Student screening & onboarding, Student apprenticeship & compliance, immigration support and security clearance vetting. By centralising these services, and focusing on consistency, compliance and operational excellence, the TSS enables the broader Talent team to focus on strategic initiatives and the overall employee experience
Working as part of TSS, the student experience senior associate will be responsible for supporting the Student Experience (SE) Team from the perspective of professional qualifications.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of the SE Team who support the administration of EY’s professional qualifications and compliance management for EY students and apprentices.
As a SE Senior Associate your primary purpose is to assist and support the SE Associates to transact and administer professional qualifications for all UK&I students enrolled on a professional qualification. You will build and maintain relationships with the wider Talent Student Management and Delivery (SMD) Team as well as other internal and external teams.
Your key responsibilities
- Supervision, coaching and counselling of team members responsible for the day-to-day administration of qualifications to increase coordinators knowledge, skills and competence.
- Give day to day support and delivery of specific professional qualification transactions including course administration through the whole qualifications life cycle and through a range of qualifications.
- Utilise your programme knowledge working alongside the SMD team to liaise with other internal business teams, tuition providers and institutes.
- Support the development and maintenance of process documents to reflect best practice.
- Support with access arrangements and guidance to students, liaising with internal teams, institutes and tuition providers.
- Database management inclusive of preparation to facilitate future intakes.
- Act as a team escalation point for queries regarding qualifications while continuing to develop knowledge and resources available.
- Supervise ongoing data integrity management of the professional qualifications database ensuring the team have taken all appropriate actions regarding housekeeping and audit checks to maintain data accuracy.
- Support any ongoing developments and projects relating to qualifications, liaising with interested parties and escalate issues with external vendors where necessary.
- Support any sessions being delivered by the Institutes to our student population.
- Support the invoice and billing process relating to professional qualification costs, liaising with appropriate contacts both internally and externally.
- Collating and actioning Quality improvement.
- Counsellor responsibilities for SE Team Associates.
Skills and attributes for success
- Manage strong relationships with key stakeholders on the day to day running of professional qualification programmes both internally and externally. You will be the main point of contact for day to day activities and communications with the business and students.
- Able to work under pressure to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects. Demonstrate flexibility to delivering project tasks.
- Identify risks and manage/escalate as appropriate.
- Respond to, manage and resolve all issues raised by Senior Managers within TSS and other senior stakeholders to recommend solutions. Identify risks and manage/escalate as appropriate.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and vision and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Consult and collaborate to build robust relationships across all UK TSS Service Teams, HR Services and Regional stakeholders, to ensure best practice is shared.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Proven history of working in qualification administration.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge strong working relationships within UK Talent Shared Services (UK TSS) and internal/external teams
- A good attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to deliver to deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to influence and manage stakeholder relationships adapting to change, flexing style and approach.
- An enthusiastic, can-do approach.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Extensive knowledge of the qualifications offered at EY.
- Experience of working within a shared services centre environment.
- Experience of working with professional qualifications and/or apprenticeship administration.
