Financial Reporting Manager
Gloucester Insurance Ltd. provides professional indemnity insurance (PII) and other
insurance to the member firms of EY.
Gloucester Insurance is seeking applications for the position of Financial Reporting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting and financial reporting for the captive insurance companies and maintaining a comprehensive set of internal controls. The Financial Reporting Manager will have the opportunity to work with team members in countries around the world and will be required to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidated and standalone financial results and present financial
Statements to Management
- Responsible for regulatory compliance in Bermuda and Ireland
- Maintain & implement control systems to mitigate key risks to the group of companies’
- Maintain and manage relations with external and internal auditors
- Perform cash and liquidity management for the group of companies
- Maintain relationships with third party service providers
- Work with Claims & Underwriting team to prepare monthly reports
- Other ad hoc projects as required
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or accounting,
- An internationally recognized professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
- Strong experience in IFRS reporting
- Ability to synthesize complex situations and analysis into succinct reports to senior stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with strategic planning experience
- Self-motivated, resourceful and highly organized with proven ability to prioritize conflicting tasks in order to meet deadlines; commitment to delivering consistently accurate and high-quality work product
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability and confidence to interact effectively with senior management
