Position Summary (Enter the description) - Strategic Transformation Leader aligned to Technology sector
Objective and purpose:
There is a mandate to scale-up the strategic transformation partner (STP) program in GDS across focus sectors and integrated sector solutions. The requirement is for a partner who will be responsible for origination and delivery of high‑value deals in the Technology sector, with deep experience across Semiconductors, Hardware, Software, and Digital Platforms, driving end‑to‑end transformation programs across Cost Takeouts, M&A, Growth, Profitability, Finance, and Supply Chain Operations
Scope of the position:
- Originate opportunities by deeply understanding client strategy, operating context, and disruption themes, translating insights into transformation plays
- Own personal and practice-level revenue outcomes with primary weightage on sales, pipeline health and cost of sales efficiency
- Act as a trusted transformation advisor to C-suites of technology clients
- Lead growth agenda conversations spanning cost takeouts and productivity unlocks, operating model redesign, GCC transformation, post-merger integration and carve-outs
- Build and maintain a robust sector pipeline with clear deal progression and prioritization
- Orchestrate integrated, cross‑disciplinary solutions across strategy, operating model and organization design, finance transformation, commercial excellence, and technology consulting to address complex client challenges.
- Develop repeatable, market‑leading Technology sector offerings, including playbooks, frameworks, and accelerators that differentiate the practice and create measurable client value
Essential Functions of the job (Enter the description)
- Lead pursuits and proposals for large, complex transformation and transactions in the Technology sector, with a strong focus on Semiconductors, Electronics, Hardware OEMs, and Software/SaaS businesses.
- Design and execute cost‑takeout and profitability programs, including operating‑model redesign, shared services / GCO, and technology‑enabled automation, with specific experience in Semiconductor fabs, design‑services, and electronics manufacturing ecosystems
- Lead or co‑lead M&A integration, carve‑out, and divestiture programs in the Technology sector, including Semiconductor IP, foundry services, and electronics supply‑chain assets, with a strong focus on synergy capture, supply‑chain integration, and working‑capital optimization
- Build and maintain C suite relationships with technology companies and tech enabled enterprises to position EY as the partner of choice for strategy, M&A, and transformation
- Sponsor, oversee, and govern complex transformation engagements, ensuring strategic alignment, disciplined execution, and measurable value realization
- Oversee development and commercialization of sector-specific assets, platforms, and benchmarks, ensuring they address client needs and differentiate EY offerings
- Shape and articulate differentiated, value‑led proposals that seamlessly integrate strategy, operations, technology, and organizational change
- Drive integrated go‑to‑market initiatives across consulting, SaT, tax, and assurance, Service Lines to bring holistic solutions to clients.
- Strengthen sector eminence by contributing to thought leadership and leading market conversations
Analytical/Decision making Responsibilities (Enter the description)
- Evaluate and qualify large, complex Technology‑sector pursuits, using analytical judgment to assess market attractiveness, competitive positioning, client readiness, win probability, and required investment to shape a winning strategy.
- Make strategic decisions on solution architecture and value definition by analyzing cloud‑modernization requirements, product/platform economics, cost structures, engineering productivity metrics, and tech‑stack maturity to craft differentiated, outcomes‑driven proposals.
- Direct commercial‑modeling and deal‑shaping decisions for multi‑tower transformation programs in software, SaaS, semiconductor, hardware, and digital‑platform clients, balancing margin, risk, scope feasibility, and delivery model implications.
- Evaluate M&A hypotheses and synergy‑capture opportunities (e.g., semiconductor supply‑chain consolidation, product portfolio optimization, IP carve‑outs, software integration) using operational, financial, and technology‑architecture analyses to support client decision‑making.
- Analyze client technology‑innovation trends and disruption risks (AI acceleration, platform shifts, hardware–software convergence, cloud economics, semiconductor capacity cycles) to guide account strategy, sector offerings, and EY investment priorities.
Education and Experience (Enter the description)
- 25+ Years in Consulting (Big 4, strategy consulting) or technology‑sector transformation, spanning software/SaaS, semiconductors, electronics, hardware OEMs, cloud, or platform-led businesses
- Advanced degree preferred, MBA/MS in Engineering/Computer Science; bachelors degree in business, technology, engineering required
Knowledge and Skill requirements (Enter the description)
- Strong commercial acumen, financial modeling, and deal‑structuring skills, with an understanding of Semiconductor capital cycles, fab economics, and electronics supply‑chain dynamics.
- Expertise in operating‑model design, process transformation, and technology‑enabled automation, including experience with Semiconductor manufacturing, design‑services, and electronics ecosystems.
- Ability to close large, complex transformation deals
- Proven enterprise-scale transformation leadership
- Consulting growth and pursuit leadership experience
