Job Summary
The SAP MM/SRM Consultant is responsible for supporting procurement, materials management, sourcing and supplier management processes within SAP MM and SAP SRM environments. The role includes application support, configuration activities, testing, incident resolution and documentation while working closely with senior consultants and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts and invoice verification processes.
- Support SAP SRM sourcing and procurement activities.
- Assist users with supplier-related transactions and procurement workflows.
- Support approval processes and catalog management activities.
- Maintain procurement-related master data.
- Participate in supplier onboarding support activities.
Incident and Service Request Management
- Resolve assigned incidents and service requests.
- Perform initial analysis and issue triage.
- Monitor ticket queues and ensure timely updates.
- Document resolutions and maintain knowledge articles.
- Escalate critical issues when required.
Testing and Quality Support
- Execute unit testing and support SIT/UAT activities.
- Prepare test scripts and test data.
- Validate business process scenarios.
- Support defect tracking and resolution verification.
Documentation
- Create and maintain process documentation.
- Update SOPs and user guides.
- Document business requirements and functional specifications as directed by senior consultants.
- Maintain audit and compliance documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with SAP FI/CO, SD, PP and WM teams on integrated processes.
- Support procurement-to-pay business operations.
- Participate in project meetings and status updates.
- Assist in rollout, enhancement and support activities.
Technical Skills
- SAP MM: Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipt, Invoice Verification, Material Master, Vendor Master and Inventory Management.
- SAP SRM: Procurement Processing, Supplier Management, Shopping Cart Processing, Workflow Monitoring and Basic Catalog Management.
- Additional Skills: SAP S/4HANA Procurement, MS Excel and Reporting, Business Process Documentation, Incident Management Tools and Basic Testing Knowledge.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of SAP MM/SRM experience.
- Experience in at least 1–2 full SAP implementation or rollout projects.
- Production support and enhancement experience preferred.
- SAP MM or SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement certification preferred.
