Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centres. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

The Opportunity

The TechOps SAP FICO Senior Consultant is responsible for providing functional support, application maintenance, incident management, enhancements, and continuous improvement for SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions across global client environments. The role collaborates with business users, cross-functional SAP teams, and technical teams to maintain system stability, optimize business processes, and deliver high-quality support services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
  • Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.

 

Change Requests & Enhancements

  • Analyze business requirements and evaluate solution options.
  • Support configuration and enhancement activities within SAP FI/CO.
  • Participate in design discussions and process improvements.
  • Handle change requests and coordinate with technical teams for development activities.
  • Validate solutions through testing and deployment support.

 

SAP FI Functional Expertise

Support and maintain:

  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Bank Accounting
  • Taxation
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing
  • Results Analysis and Settlements

 

 

SAP CO Functional Expertise

Support and maintain:

  • Cost Center Accounting
  • Profit Center Accounting
  • Product Costing
  • Profitability Analysis (COPA)
  • Overhead Assessment
  • Internal Orders
  • Project Systems Integration
  • Settlement Processes

 

Cross-Module Integration

  • Support integration between SAP FI/CO and:
    • SAP MM
    • SAP SD
    • SAP PP
    • SAP PM
    • SAP HR
  • Troubleshoot interface and integration issues.
  • Support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.

 

Incident & AMS Operations

  • Monitor ticket queues and prioritize critical issues.
  • Support global clients in Application Management Services (AMS) environments.
  • Participate in on-call and shift support when required.
  • Ensure SLA adherence and service quality metrics achievement.
  • Work effectively within onsite-offshore delivery models.

Testing & Documentation

  • Prepare functional specifications and configuration documents.
  • Perform Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
  • Maintain knowledge articles, SOPs, and support documentation.
  • Support audit and compliance activities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 8–10+ years SAP FICO experience
  • AMS / Production Support / Global Delivery SAP S/4HANA Finance experience
  • Global delivery or offshore-onshore model experience.
