The opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to enhance, support, and scale AI agentic solutions built using Python, FastAPI, and LangGraph. As a Senior AI Automation Engineer, you will play also play a key role in identifying automation opportunities, improving existing agent workflows, and strengthening backend services that power intelligent, automated AI systems.

Your key responsibilities

• Enhance, optimize, and maintain backend services supporting AI agentic workflows
• Build scalable REST APIs using FastAPI with strong validation and async features
• Develop, refine, and troubleshoot multi-step agent workflows using LangGraph
• Identify automation opportunities across AI applications and implement scalable solutions
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Docker Compose
• Write clean, maintainable Python code with robust unit tests (pytest/unittest)
• Design and manage database schemas and integrations for MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Investigate performance issues across backend and agentic systems

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science
• Core Python
  • Strong foundation in Lists, Dictionaries, Tuples, Sets, and OOP (classes, inheritance, composition).
  • Experience in writing modular, performant code with profiling and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of virtual environments, dependency management, and unit testing.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL schema design.
• FastAPI & Backend Development
  • Proven experience building production APIs with FastAPI.
  • Proficiency in async/await, Pydantic models, and token-based authentication.
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Docker Compose, YAML setups, and container networking.
• LangGraph
  • Experience building multi-step agent workflows (nodes, edges, state management).
  • Ability to manage conversation state, context propagation, retries, and fallbacks.
  • Strong debugging capability for agent failures and execution tracing.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with LLM-based or AI automation products.
