AI Lead

The opportunity

This role provides the opportunity to lead the enhancement, scalability, and support of AI agentic solutions built using Python, FastAPI, and LangGraph. As a Technical Lead, you will guide engineering efforts, identify high-impact automation opportunities, define architectural standards, and drive the technical roadmap for intelligent AI automation systems across the organization.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the design, enhancement, and support of backend systems and AI agentic workflows
• Architect scalable solutions using Python, FastAPI, LangGraph, and containerized environments
• Identify, prioritize, and drive automation opportunities across AI-powered applications
• Mentor and guide engineers; perform design/code reviews and uphold engineering best practices
• Define patterns for multi-step agent workflows, state management, and agent reliability
• Lead troubleshooting and performance optimization across backend services and AI agents
• Collaborate with product, data science, and platform teams to align technical execution with business strategy
• Oversee schema design and integrations for MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Establish standards for CI/CD, observability, and production readiness of AI automation solutions

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science
• Core Python Expertise
  • Deep understanding of data structures (Lists, Dictionaries, Tuples, Sets) and OOP principles.
  • Strong experience designing modular, maintainable, high-performance Python applications.
  • Expertise in profiling, debugging, dependency management, and unit testing.
  • Hands-on experience designing schemas and integrating MongoDB and PostgreSQL.

• FastAPI & Backend Architecture
  • Proven track record architecting and delivering production-grade APIs with FastAPI
  • Strong knowledge of Pydantic models, async/await patterns, authentication frameworks, and API security
  • Expertise with Docker, Docker Compose, YAML-based configurations, and container networking

• LangGraph & AI Agentic Workflows
  • Experience architecting multi-step agent workflows using nodes, edges, and centralized state management
  • Ability to define patterns for conversation state handling, context propagation, retries, and fallback logic
  • Strong skills in debugging failed agent flows and tracing execution paths

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience building microservices or distributed backend systems
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and modern DevOps pipelines
• Experience with LLM-based applications or AI automation tooling
• Prior experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
