The opportunity
EY Consulting is a fast-moving, high-growth area with huge potential. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager to join our TechOps team. This team offers variety, challenge, responsibility and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential. We are seeking a highly accomplished and experienced Cloud Service Delivery Lead with 15-18 years of experience to spearhead the management and coordination of various cloud projects and IT governance activities within our Techops organization ensuring the successful deployment, management, and optimization of cloud-based systems and services.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • As a Senior Manager, you'll assist in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the consulting market. 
  • People Management: Effectively lead the team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
  • Delivery Management: Participate in large scale cloud engagements. Consistently deliver quality client services, driving high-quality work products within the expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business. Should be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable interfacing with a client on a daily basis. This role requires daily interaction with the client at many levels.
  • L1 Support and Training : Champion the culture of continuous service improvement and service excellence by adopting industry best practices like ITIL, DevOps, & Lean 
  • Incident Management:   To manage resolution of the incidents by  restoring services (Diagnose and resolve issues/incidents promptly L2-L3) and communicate the solution to the end user. This process manages the day-to-day support interface between end users and Service Providers. 
  • Problem Management: To lead to identify the problems in the application and eliminate them by removing the root cause of the problem. Maintain a healthy queue of problems with its related triage and solutions implemented. 
  • Release Management: Manage the cloud professionals, release management, maintenance, performance tuning, and upgrades.
  • Organization Setup: Take the lead in setting up the Cloud delivery team, including defining processes, assembling the team, establishing governance frameworks, and aligning with strategic objectives.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures for cloud operations, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define, track, and manage key performance indicators for the cloud business, ensuring alignment with business goals and continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to a diverse team of cloud professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. End to end ownership of application support teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automate deployment workflows for cloud-based applications and services.
  • Project Management: Lead cloudops projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and effective resource allocation to achieve project objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and enhancement of cloudops to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
  • Proven experience in technical leadership roles, with a focus on cloud operations, infrastructure, and architecture. Experience in managing technical teams in complex cloud environments, including multi-cloud infrastructures spanning in multizone environment.
  • Experience in leading multiple managed service engagements in Cloud Platform / Application solutions
  • Experience in delivering Cloud operations engagement align with industry standard Cloud frameworks.
  • Excellent understanding of ITSM best practices with several years of experience in technical service delivery
  • Experience in leading or worked as team member to achieve Managed services certifications such as MSP or AWS MS etc
  • Proficiency in using scripting languages (Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automating cloud service deployments.
  • Understanding about cloud automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, BICEP, Ansible, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (like Kubernetes or Docker), microservices architecture, and serverless computing.
  • Technical expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders confidently.
  • Certifications in Industry governance standards like ITIL, TOGAF etc.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect are a plus.
  • Proficiency and expertise in delivering operations in Data platform is a must.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, Computer Science etc.
  • Relevant certifications in Cloud and Infrastructure Landscape. This enhances a candidate's qualifications and demonstrate their expertise in cloud operations and architecture.
