Guidewire Architect
The opportunity
As a Technical Architect your primary role would be to provide best fit architectural solutions for one or more projects. You would also provide technology consultation and assist in defining scope and sizing of work. You would implement solutions, create technology differentiation, and leverage partner technologies. Additionally, you would participate in competency development with the objective of ensuring the best-fit and high-quality technical solutions. You would be a key contributor in creating thought leadership within the area of technology specialization and in compliance with guidelines & policies.
Your key responsibilities
- Define end-to-end architecture for Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- Develop technical roadmaps and blueprints aligned with enterprise standards.
- Design cloud-ready solutions and strategies (Guidewire Cloud/SaaS).
- Configure and customize Guidewire components using Gosu, PCF, Data Model, Rules, Plugins, and Workflows.
- Architect complex integrations with internal/external systems using APIs, SOAP/REST web services, and messaging frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and enforce best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and stakeholders to align technology with business goals.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Guidewire Cloud deployments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and infrastructure sizing.

Skills and attributes for success
Mandatory skills
- Strong expertise in Guidewire Insurance Suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- Proficiency in Gosu, Java, and Guidewire configuration/customization.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire Data Model, Rules, Plugins, and Workflows.
- Knowledge of integration patterns, web services (SOAP/REST), and messaging frameworks.
- Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Agile software development
To qualify for the role, you must have
- BE/BTech/MCA with a sound industry experience of 12+ years, with 5+ in Guidewire Architecture
- Guidewire Certified Ace/Specialist in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance domain.
- Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, or GCP).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
