This transformation combined with our in-country compliance capabilities will drive a better client experience whilst creating margin expansion and enable the Payroll Operate growth gaining significant market share for EY in the industry.
Responsibilities
As part of the Service Management Office team your key responsibility would be to:
- support with daily activities such as liaison with local EY teams around the world,
- collection of invoicing data points as related to the global contracts and subcontractor memos,
- tracking of such data points in the global engagement billing tracker, checking and controlling accurate billing format and base fees against amendments,
- follow-ups on internal teams for invoice processing and payments,
- drafting of global invoices breakdown and EY interfirm invoices breakdown,
- downloading information from the Mercury system,
- tagging and reconciling of invoices impacting internal engagement codes, interfaces with client local country contacts, shared service centers, tax/finance stakeholders and related EY network.
You will be working with EY Country Payroll teams to ensure billing for services performed are delivered in line with contractual requirements i.e., timeliness, accuracy, and agreed service levels.
Effective communication is key here and with stakeholders and clients on various projects to ensure smooth operation and quality service delivery.
Daily tasks vary from managing multiple projects with cross-functional team members, weekly status updates, propose solutions and assist with ad hoc requests.

- Experience in invoice / payments management and workflow.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel – reference, conditional and financial formulas, pivot tables.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organised.
- Strong attention to detail – Process oriented.
- Proactive and ideas based.
- Flexible and self-starting.
- Payroll background is a plus.
- SAP FI module experience is a plus.
- Experience in Payments / Banking reconciliation is a plus.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Professional qualification around 3 years of experience
- Expert numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing in English in a clear and concise manner
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products – advanced/expert excel
