Manager
Job purpose
The Record to Report Manager will be instrumental in establishing the multi-country/group Record to Report (R2R) process. This position requires a proven track record of leading and nurturing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting up and managing R2R processes, ensuring that financial records are accurately maintained and closed punctually, without quality defects, and in compliance with local statutory requirements. The Manager will collaborate closely with global process leaders on management reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and more. Additionally, they will provide exceptional support to consulting engagement teams regarding all compliance and financial reporting activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire Record to Report (R2R) process, which includes managing general ledger entries, account reconciliations, financial close activities, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure meticulous adherence to the client’s compliance and financial close calendar, minimizing backlogs and ensuring accurate accruals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client relationship, delivering exceptional service and ensuring that R2R outputs meet or exceed expectations.
- Ensure that all key performance metrics are consistently met.
- Identify and implement new opportunities for efficiency, such as adopting automation and enhancing processes to align with industry benchmarks.
- Coordinate and review activities conducted in other Centres of Excellence and local offices that impact the R2R process.
- Oversee and review month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with the client’s Global Process Owners on R2R processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Develop, implement, and manage new strategic processes for the client’s R2R function.
- Own and maintain internal and external reporting dashboards to track progress and status of multi-country engagements.
- Challenge existing processes and implement improvements by providing lean ideas, enforcing strong controls, and enhancing quality.
- Conduct detailed reviews of accounts, schedules, and workings to ensure the quality of deliverables, effectively implementing internal review mechanisms and control processes.
- Ensure effective work planning and capacity utilization to support colleagues or processes as needed.
- Conduct performance evaluations of team members, address performance issues, and provide technical and operational guidance to support team members.

- Demonstrated experience in managing Record to Report (R2R) operations, developing teams, and leading a group of skilled finance professionals.
- Proven ability to collaborate with leaders across various geographies and manage deliverables in a fast-paced environment, consistently maintaining high-quality standards in a metrics-driven setting.
- Strong focus on enhancing productivity and resource utilization, with a proven capability to effectively implement process changes while securing adequate support from stakeholders.
Required Technical skills
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft D365, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Proficient understanding of IFRS or US GAAP is crucial.
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong skills in client and stakeholder management.
- Effective people management capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- B. Com/M. Com/CA/ACCA/CWA/CPA with overall 10 – 13 Yrs of relevant experience in Record to Report process.
