Job Title: Senior Manager - Strategy

About Stategy: IT Strategy is at the forefront of driving innovation and transformation across our organization. We focus on leveraging cutting-edge technology and methodologies to deliver exceptional value and efficiency to our clients. Our mission is to ensure seamless integration of new processes and systems, maintain operational excellence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

The Opportunity: We’re seeking a Senior Manager to shape and lead multi‑tower sourcing and vendor management programs across insourcing, outsourcing, and GBS models. With strong grounding in Infrastructure Services and Application Services, you’ll set the direction, drive complex negotiations, and embed governance that delivers measurable value—cost, risk, performance, and speed—across transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own Sourcing Strategy & Portfolio: Define multi‑year sourcing roadmaps, make build/buy/partner recommendations, and align with enterprise architecture, finance, risk, and business strategies.
  • Lead Commercials & Negotiations: Architect negotiation strategies (pricing constructs, SLAs/XSAs, service credits, gainshare), lead terms closure, and ensure defensible total cost of ownership (TCO) and risk posture.
  • Vendor Ecosystem Management: Rationalize the vendor portfolio, set performance frameworks (SLA/OLA/XLAs), run QBR/MBR governance, and resolve escalations and disputes.
  • Market Intelligence & Benchmarking: Institutionalize external benchmarks (rate cards, service towers, inflation indices, indexation) and translate insights into savings and performance levers.
  • Financial Stewardship: Own savings targets, value realization plans, and leakage controls; ensure invoice accuracy, contract compliance, and forecast integrity with Finance.
  • Transformation & TMO Leadership: Stand up/scale the TMO for transitions; run readiness, RAID, cutover, and stabilization; ensure risk‑based go/no‑go decisions and clean handoffs to operations.
  • Policy, Risk & Compliance: Embed third‑party risk management (TPRM), InfoSec/privacy, BC/DR, and regulatory requirements into sourcing lifecycle and contractual obligations.
  • Process & Digital Enablement: Standardize playbooks, SOPs, and stage gates; drive automation and reporting (e.g., KPI dashboards, CLM/VMS integrations) to reduce cycle time and increase control.
  • Stakeholder & Executive Management: Run SteerCos, craft exec‑ready materials, manage C‑suite/BU expectations, and align cross‑functional teams (Legal, Finance, Risk, IT Ops).
  • People Leadership & Capability Building: Coach Seniors/Staff, set quality bars, review deliverables, and build a high‑performing CoE with re‑usable assets (templates, calculators, scripts)..
  • Skills and Attributes for Success:
  • Commercial & Legal Acumen: Pricing models (FTE, unit, outcome‑based), financial modeling, service credit frameworks, liability/indemnity, data processing & IP clauses.
  • Analytical Rigor: Strong command of Excel/TCO modeling, Power BI, and working SQL for data validation and insights.
  • Tool Proficiency: Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, SirionLabs (or equivalent CLM/VMS/contract analytics); comfort integrating data across systems.
  • Operating Model Design: Vendor governance models, demand intake, catalog/statement‑of‑work patterns, and service tower accountability.
  • Change & Stakeholder Leadership: Executive facilitation, conflict resolution, structured communication, and decision framing.
  • Methodologies: Agile/Hybrid project delivery, Design Thinking for solution shaping, Lean/Six Sigma for process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree, MBA preferred, with 10+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of consulting experience, with a focus on vendor management, procurement, or related domain.
  • Desirable certifications include Project Management (PRINCE II, PMP, Agile), Six Sigma, ITIL, Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, Change Management, Design Thinking, and Facilitation.

What We Offer:

  • A challenging and rewarding role in a global organization.
  • Opportunities for personal and professional development, with client interaction, travel and responsibility to lead overall Project across various engagements.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package, with the freedom and flexibility to manage your role in a way that's right for you.
