The ideal candidate has strong hands on experience in PR to PO processes, contract lifecycle management, supplier onboarding and performance (KPIs) tracking, and procurement analytics. This role requires the ability to execute transactions with precision, work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, ensure policy compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement service lines.
Your key responsibilities

- Create, amend, and release purchase orders (PO) ensuring alignment with preferred suppliers, catalogs, contracts, and sourcing guidelines.
- Manage order confirmations, delivery follow-ups, shipment tracking, and resolve receiving/invoice issues in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Support operational sourcing activities such as spot buys, supplier quote collection, and event preparation for category teams.
- Ensure seamless execution of PR-to-PO workflows in systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, ServiceNow, Coupa, and integrate process checks with I2P teams for end-to-end issue resolution.
- Maintain and update Desktop Procedures (DTPs) and process documentation for PR-to-PO activities.
- Provide operational support in procurement helpdesk interactions related to PR/PO, catalogs, buying channels, and system/process queries.
Contract management
- Administer contract changes, amendments, renewal documentation, and ensure alignment with sourcing/category requirements.
- Maintain the contract repository and ensure accurate metadata, version control, document hygiene, and linkage with catalogs/PO policies.
- Support contract migration and data consolidation activities across CLM/procurement systems.
- Track contract consumption, expiration alerts, renewal cycles, and support contract‑related helpdesk queries.
- Coordinate with Vendor Master, Sourcing, and PR-to-PO teams to ensure contract-to-PO alignment.
Supplier management
- Conduct supplier evaluation and due diligence checks including risk, compliance, and capability assessments.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding activities, collecting documentation and creating supplier records in Vendor Master / MDM / ERP systems.
- Support maintenance of vendor master data including updates, validations, bank details, risk flags, and compliance checks.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs, delivery metrics, responsiveness, and quality indicators.
- Manage supplier-related tickets within the procurement helpdesk, resolving master data, onboarding, and PO creation issues.
- Support end-to-end supplier lifecycle activities and drive improvements in master data accuracy.
Spend analytics & optimization
- Perform detailed spend analysis across suppliers, categories, geographies, and business units.
- Identify opportunities for spend optimization, consolidation, demand management, and improved contract/catalog utilization.
- Highlight maverick spend, off-contract purchases, leakage patterns, and flag areas requiring category sourcing intervention.
- Provide data-driven insights to sourcing/category teams for RFP planning, supplier negotiations, and buying channel decisions.
- Support catalog optimization and guided buying improvements using spend patterns and PR analysis.
Cross Functional collaboration & operational excellence
- Work closely with requestors, suppliers, Sourcing, Category teams, Vendor Master, Finance, I2P, and Supply Chain to resolve operational issues.
- Execute Knowledge Transfer activities including Pre-KT preparation, KT sessions, Job Shadowing, Reverse Job Shadowing, and contribute to Go‑Live and Hypercare stabilization for new transitions.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, DTPs, process flows, and training materials to standardize delivery across BPO/SSC teams.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, audit controls, risk frameworks, and procurement governance models.
- Support continuous improvement, process automation, catalog enhancements, and buying channel enablement initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, ensuring knowledge depth, operational accuracy, and strong delivery capability within BPO setups.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong domain expertise in PR to PO operations, contract administration, supplier onboarding and spend analytics.
- Hands on experience with one/more procurement platforms (SAP, SAP Ariba, Coupa, GEP, Ivalua, etc.).
- Ability to manage high volume transactions with accuracy, speed and attention to detail.
- Any transition experience is an add-on.
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel/Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management and problem solving skills.
- Process oriented mindset with commitment to compliance and continuous improvement.
To qualify for the role, you should have

- 4–7+ years of relevant experience in procurement operations within managed services, GBS or consulting.
- Experience with procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Service Now, GEP, etc.) and contract lifecycle management tools.
- Understanding of procurement policies, DOA workflows, audit controls and supplier governance.
