Senior - Business Analyst - ETRM
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the EY GDS Consulting Oil & Gas team. As part of EY Consulting, you will work on projects in the Energy & Utilities sector, supporting the analysis, optimization, and digital transformation of business processes.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a hybrid role combining business and technology, contributing to the redesign of key operational processes and supporting the implementation of innovative solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, gaining exposure to both the business requirements and the technology that enables them.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or similar fields.
- 4-5 years of experience in consulting or as a Business/Process Analyst, preferably within the ETRM space
- Proven experience in analyzing, mapping, and redesigning business processes
- Ability to gather business and ICT requirements and translate them into functional documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Ability to work in dynamic environments, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Knowledge of ETRM systems (specifically ENDUR)
- Basic familiarity with SQL and the ability to perform simple queries for data validation and analysis.
- Exposure or interest in programming concepts and basic Java understanding, especially in the context of system configuration or ETRM customizations.
- Experience in defining business cases, roadmaps, and prioritization of initiatives.
- Previous exposure to digital transformation programs and process automation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
What you will do:
- Draft business and ICT requirements for the development and implementation of new functionalities.
- Support the definition of evolutionary roadmaps and the prioritization of initiatives based on business and ICT benefits.
- Collaborate in the preparation of functional and technical analysis documents.
- Contribute to the creation of business cases and monitor the results of implemented initiatives.
- Provide PMO support, including project tracking, preparation of status reports, maintenance of project documentation, and coordination of project activities and meetings.
- Assist Project Managers in day-to-day operational tasks such as follow-up on deliverables, risk and issue tracking, and maintaining project governance standards.
- Analyze and design business processes in ETRM.
- Identify pain points and improvement opportunities to optimize and digitalize processes.
- Define and document new processes, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technology solutions.
- Work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and value creation.
